Late night, driving for 17 hours. Just needed a quick cheap place to catch some z's. Saw this place as we were headed into navarre, saw the vacancy sign. Tried calling 3 times, no answer. Figured maybe there was a problem with the phone or something, so drove back here. Spent a few minutes waiting patiently inside after hitting the buzzer before I started knocking on the walls, calling out if anyone was there. Finally after about 10 minutes, dude comes stumbling out. I thought hey, no biggie, people fall asleep sometimes. Not the case. This dude was absolutely sloshed. Stumbling, slurring, scribbling, vacant stare. Asked me what room key he gave me. Hadn't given me anything. Finally gave me the key then just stood there staring at me like we weren't done. I asked. We were. I mean, it's a room, got walls, roof, toilet. Suited my needs. Bit too expensive in my opinion though, at $111 for 6 hours.

DO NOT GO HERE THE OWNER IS A HUMAN TRAFFICKER after being uncomfortable not even 30 mins after arriving we left and went somewhere else and suspicions were correct an unknown tracking device was located on my car! Be very careful and do not go here! The employees are involved as well!

Expensive DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! they are involved in human trafficking! I wasn’t even there 30 minutes with my kids and only thing we did was sit on the bed and would not give refund! Drive 12 more minutes to red roof inn for cheaper. Do not risk your safety here!

Nothing good to say about this motel. It started off by getting to our room and the AC had not been on, probably in quite awhile. In addition to being hotter in the room than outside, and it was at least 90 outside, the room had a very heavy musty, moldy odor to it. I went and spoke to the manager and he questioned if I turned the AC on correctly. There are only two knobs and no buttons, one controlled the fan speed and the other had the circular color stripe going from red to blue. He asked if I turned both knobs to the right, which I did, because 1, I could hear the fan change speeds and 2, I followed the direction towards the blue because that indicates cooling. I had given the AC a few minutes and it still had not started blowing cooler air, so that was why I went to see him. He came down and confirmed it wasn't cool in the room and took me to the room next door to show how he said he keeps the rooms all the time. It was indeed cool and did not smell so I asked to be moved, which he was fine with. However, he asked if we "touched anything" in the first room and my wife had used a hand towel to dry her hands. He picked that up and moved it to the second room "to save the maid from having to change it". More on the maid service later. So we get in the second room and we decide we'd like a drink and a snack so I go down to the convenience store 1/4 mile away. When I get back, my wife greets me with the remote for the TV and shows me a batter that had failed and was leaking causing corrosion on the contacts. I take the remote down to the office and he puts new batteries in it. Then he gives me instructions that I am going to have to reprogram the TV to be able to see any channels. Lo and behold he was correct, the remote turned the TV on but there were no channels. I went through the whole process of programming the cable TV channels and after awhile, we had channels. What we didn't have was any kind of an on screen guide to tell us what channels were where and what show was on or coming up. That meant we had to scroll through all the channels and try to find something interesting to watch. This was exasperated by the fact that if you hit a commercial, you had to wait for it/them to finish running to see what show was on. Once we finally found something to watch, we then realized the volume was not working. If we didn't talk or move around, we could hear the dialogue, but just barely. Later on the volume did start working, but that proved to be only temporary. I don't know how much of these complications had to do with this being a cheap TV but I suspect it contributed. The picture was not all that great either, reinforcing the suspicion that this was in fact a very cheap TV. This theme of going cheap on everything has now revealed itself as a pattern. First the hand towel, then the AC not working, then the problems with the TV and later, again the AC in the new room. I stated earlier that this is a motel. It is one floor and all of the room doors open to the parking lot. It is also a very old motel, that still have all the AC units in the outside wall facing the parking lot. The problem with that is that you freeze when you are close to the AC and are hot if you are away from the AC. There were no adjustable louvers on the AC to direct the air flow so it blew right across the bed in front of it, and didn't do much at all for the far bed. (two queens ) We reserved our room for two nights and frankly gave immediate thought to going somewhere else for night 2, but decided to suck it up and stick it out. Back to the maid thing now. In the irony of ironies, there was a used bath towel hanging on the inside of the bathroom door, from a previous guest. There were also only 2 towel sets in the room, a bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth. No extras at all. Continuing with the questionable maid service, there is none. When we came back in the afternoon after the first night, we fully expected to see the beds made and the room cleaned. Such was not the case. Someone had been in the room, because some things were moved around, but they were not there for the purpose of cleaning, that was obvious. I had tried to use the water cups for rinsing after brushing my teeth, and although wrapped in plastic, both plastic wraps were open at the bottom. i threw them away for that reason. I then went to the coffee cups and at least they were sealed, so I used one of those. Again, my expectation was that they would replace whatever cups were used, but apparently that was not included so they were not replaced. To me this is another bold statement of cheaping out in every possible way. Absolutely cutting every single corner possible to save a buck (or pennies), This business model must work for him because there was a big Mercedes Benz SUV sitting right by the office that had to belong to him. No one else driving a MB would ever consider staying here. Needless to say there was no breakfast included with the room, if for no other reason there was no place to have it. In fairness, they didn't advertise a free breakfast, so that's that, but it is an additional expense added to the triple hundred spent on the room for two nights. I would not recommend anyone stay here unless you absolutely cannot afford anything else. As I said, although the rates were far from cheap, they were slightly below the hotel down the street, slightly. Like, he looked at their rates and undercut them by a few bucks. The location is fairly close to the interstate, but there is nothing scenic or attractive about the location. It is not evenly remotely close to any of the beaches either. All in all, I felt like this should have been less than half the amount they charged, for the conditions and the service. I will say the owner was friendly in addressing my concerns, it is just that there were so many concerns, cheerfulness runs out in a hurry when you are having to put up with so many poor conditions. Lastly, my wife didn't tell me until after we checked out, that when she turned the water on in the sink, which barely had any water pressure, a spider came crawling out of the drain. It seems like these rooms don't get rented out very often, and i completely understand why, just based on the nature of the problems we encountered, and their dereliction of duties to clean and maintain the rooms.

Corn allergy alert. If your allergic to corn don't stay. It smelled like someone poured a bottle of Fabuloso into the carpet. I didn't sleep because I had a reaction plus I had to open the window and it was in the 40s with a tornado watch. Not fun

Picked this place because of price. When we got there it was double the price of what was advertised. Decent room and everything else was fine. Would be great to have extra blankets in the room especially when right next to the AC

Worst place ever!!!! Pulled off just to sleep for the night,it was 10 pm, got to the room it was so hot it was miserable!!!! We had to sit in the truck for 45 mins just until the room was cooled down enough to even try to go to sleep. Tried to get a refund immediately after discovering the ridiculous HOT room. Management did not want to hear anything about it. This place is absolutely horrible. Room wasn't clean, there was still food on the floor from the last guest. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $50 at the first to Hotels up from it.

Poor service. Paid for 4 nights and they refused soap and shampoo for 2 people for 4 days and were extremely rude and unprofessional. Pay a little more for better rooms and service right across the road. I got a refund for the remaining nights i paid for and left after the first night.
