Awesome view! Tunnel can see through Mount Rushmore Monument. Car can stop on side to take a peak for a few minutes. Our Tour Bus went through this tunnel.
One of the greatest outdoor assets to the Lynchburg community. It’s so great to have miles of great trails easily accessible from multiple points. I go on runs multiple times a week and it’s unbelievably nice to be able to easily switch up where I run and have new views.
Wonderful place to go bike riding. Great views and no steep hills. Probably my favorite trail in the area!
Absolutely gorgeous trails! Great place to be by myself and take in nature.
Love seeing people care for them too. At least once a month I see people cleaning trash out of there. Whether in big groups or just one or two people.
Great trail to walk, bike, or run on. Goes through downtown, but feels like you’re in nature. I often see deer and other wildlife. Trail is well maintained and has porta potties and bathrooms on the way.
Every day, we go.
I’m heat intolerant, so I love how the tree canopy drops the temperature. It’s so peaceful and healthy for the soul—the flowers, wildlife, trails—and the Awareness Garden entrance at Langhorne and Nomad Coffee make it my haven.
Great place to take a walk. The old train tunnel is nice/cool on a hot day. The Nomad coffee is awesome and at the Langhorne entrance

The renovations made to the grounds, overlook, and added picnic tables are absolutely perfect. I have been using this park for more than 50 years, and find it an absolutely joyful, relaxing oasis in our city. Users, please take care of this treasure
This is such a great park! It's got updated playground equipment, a baseball field and a FRISBEE GOLF COURSE that is really nice! It even has the distance to the baskets and they just added a second set of baskets that's a little closer from the tee

Coming from a born and raised New Yorker this is by far the best pizza in town. And not even just the pizza everything I've had on the menu is incredible. The staff is phenomenal, you really get the family atmosphere when you talk to them. My particu

We stayed in the hotel. It was very clean and provided all that we needed. We were at a conference and the conference room had an amazing view. We also went up to the lookout and there was a spectacular view, including a handmade stone cross.

Chose to ride my bike here and visit one of my loved ones bricks, while at the same time to enjoy the wonderful views of the park. Loved the fountain and loved all the greenery. Hats off to the people maintaining this place. Would definitely be back
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful tour from Anne Spencer's granddaughter. The stories she shared of visiting her grandmother, the Harlem renaissance poet and civil rights activist, and playing in the gardens brought back sweet memories of visiti
LOVEworks sculpture. You can't miss the sculpture as you walk toward the trail. The sculpture's design incorporates items that make this portion of the James River Heritage Trail unique including: footprints, bicycle wheels, boat oars, and skate/ ska
What a great duo! We really enjoyed the food and the lovely couple who run the place. Whatâs more, the menu presents something quite unique, a choice between Mediterranean and Indian food, which both were wonderfully made! And the mango lhasi is i
