Great beach set at the base of the cliffs. Amazing back drop and listening to the waves is awesome. The dress code is friendly to all, it’s totally optional and you’ll see people running along the beach, playing volleyball, sun bathing, and swimming, all in the nude.
Absolutely love blacks beach. It’s wide an open allowing plenty of space.
It’s also a great place to use a a midway point for walking to the la Jolla trails and the pier to the south. I’ve got to try the parasailing one of these day :-)
Clean beach with a very laid back vibe. Clothing is optional and you'll find a great mix of people of all kinds; yet not to crowded.
While no lifeguards are stationed at the beach, beach patrol does drive by regularly.
Please know that there is a hike down the cliff wall from the parking lot. While not technical, the hike is steep and caution would be advised. I would not recommend the hike for those with mobility issues.
Love this Beautiful beach, is a long way down from the glider port, no restrooms on the beach so plan ahead. You can sunbathe nude or clothed, no one really cares, so give it a try, if you haven't been there.
This place has a great view on top of the cliffs and parking is very easy. The hike down is a bit rough, if you have little ones or a lunch try to pack light. Once you hit the beach it's huge and plenty of sand for everyone but be AWARE this is a nude beach and it seems like it only attracks older more mature people. First experience going to a nude beach and I wasn't impressed.
This beach is great, but be prepared for a STEEP trek! There is a trail leading to/from parking to this beach. It's worth it, but don't forget anything in the car! 😜
Also, this is clothing optional. So if your kids are going & this isn't what you literally want them exposed to, this isn't the beach for you!
Locally known as a nudist beach. I didn't see any when i went early in the morning. What i did see was a lot of surfers. Its a nice quiet beach. Not very popular due to the stairs. However that what makes this place unique! When it comes to the stairs, its a baby version of the Manitou Incline in Colorado Springs. Anybody can walk up and down it, just take your time so you wont slip and fall. The steps are sandy. The beach is a beautiful nice place to come for a morning jog and a good place to come if you want to avoid a crowdy beach.
Great beach but be prepared for a hike up and down. Clothing optional on the beach! Parking seems challenging. The beach wasn’t too crowded. Plenty of space to spread out on the beach. Pack light and bring plenty of water! Great place to watch the sunset.

The Childrenâs pool also known as Casa Beach, is worth a visit if youâre already by La Jolla Cove. Itâs a small beach area where you can see seals and sea lions swimming and lying on the beach. Free admission. You should be able to find free pa
My wife and I had a very enjoyable e-bike tour of the beaches and ritzy neighborhoods of La Jolla with Justin. The adventure is well described on the website and the experience exceeded our expectations.

Cam was a great guide for my first ocean dive with my friend. All the provided gear was in good condition, dive plan was clearly communicated and any questions we had about the area and what we would be seeing were answered. We both had a great time

Imagine starting your day in a coastal paradise, with the gentle rhythm of the waves as your soundtrack. Welcome to Cuvier Park, an exquisite spot nestled right by the ocean. With sweeping, majestic views that seem straight out of a postcard, this pl
I absolutely love this beach! From dolphins to the occasional seal, this beach has everything you would want. Parking is plentiful especially if you get there early. The state park has lots of parking on both side of the highway as well. It's a beaut
La Jolla Shores is one of the best beaches in San Diego (arguably the best). There is about a mile of sandy beach with good waves for playing or surfing. The southern end is also a good place to snorkel: guitar fish, regular fish, lobsters, crabs, le
Unplanned lunch pit stop to the Promiscuous Fork, and so glad we made it. Kind of tight indoor quarters but cool outside seating area.
If youâre a garlic lover then you will love the âyuk-mouthâ. Buns were buttered and toasted to perfection. Wi
Beautiful walk and great beach. Easiest if want pavement. Steep on way back. Outhouse style bathrooms at bottom of trail. Close to good surf breaks. Can see lifeguards post from bottom. Lots of huge mansions in the area are nice to see. Parking can b

This review is for the margarita pizza. Best thin crust Neapolitan style pizza Iâve had so far in SD, and I am a TOUGH critic. It satisfied the craving. Love the romantic cozy vibe and the view as well. Great date spot but I went solo and sat at th
