The only reason I gave 4 Stars is the condition of the rental push carts. I showed up as a walk on and had to rent a push cart and walk. No carts had straps that would hold the bag to the cart. Otherwise the Staff was really friendly. Course was in good shape for the green fee. I would play there again.

So peaceful. Everyone was welcoming and had great golf etiquette. My boys put their lemonade stand up with permission and the staff came out to check on them and even brought ice to them when they ran out.

Black Squirrel is 100% worth the money you pay for a round and is a great place to get your golf game under your belt. The staff is friendly & welcoming. Ownership is putting in the time, money and effort into making a beautiful place to play golf and enjoy a beautiful day!

Very rude staff. I was very hopeful for the new ownership to take over. Unfortunately, until the leadership has some crucial conversations with the existing staff nothing will change. It saddens me greatly that I will not continue my membership next year and will look for an alternative golf location. I am at this course 5-6 times a week and the staff continue not to care and make fun of the new ownerships ideas and attempts to make the course better. Hope ownership wakes up and cleans house.

Had a employee I've never seen before come out on the 10th tee box yell at me and my golf partner for not getting permission to play the empty 10th. We had a tee time which we were on time for, however there were 4 to 5 group's still waiting to tee off . We have been playing this course 4 to 5 times a week since May. Here's the important part... not one time has anyone ever mentioned this to us in over four months of playing there we can't do this. The man was rude, quickly walking toward us shaking his finger , being loud belittling and embarrassing us in front of many other people. This man was truly unprofessional and in my opinion should be terminated immediately. He leaves a very poor and embarrassing mark on the reputation of otherwise a good course with good staff. Thanks for responding. All I ask for is consistency. Otherwise I love the course, the improvements have been awesome so far. And I look forward to many more in the future. But please make sure you're staff is not so aggressive when a correction is needed. Thanks again. UPDATED INFO: So I got to talk to staff. The previous situation has been addressed. I've had some time for reflection and tonight's conversation with staff was a great and genuine one. Often times businesses don't care about how someone is treated but I truly feel like they do here after discussion. I have no doubt you will enjoy this course. It's getting better every week. It's a work in progress.....but then again Rome wasn't built in a day....lol. I look forward to the fall season and the future. Cheers and hit em strait!!!!!

Fun course, but is in need of some upkeep. They do a good job of keeping things clean, just really old, unreadable signage, most cart paths are in bad shape. Good price for golf in the middle of town.

In answer to the owner's response, I would like to see some ball cleaners and water coolers on tee boxes. Also, off-peak time and twilight discounts would be nice.

I love the course, I have been playing it since it was built However I have never seen the T Boxes in such terrible condition. And no sand in the traps Hopefully the New Owner will get it straightened out
