Black Rock Beach - Featured Reviews (242)
We went at midday on a Thursday in May and there were only a handful of people there! Waves are small like a lake but the sand is soft and the rocks and trees make for such a unique experience! You walk 5-10 min from the parking lot on a hard-packed wide sand trail through vegetation to get to the actual beach. You don't have to go into the park to get there. Entrance fees are paid with an app or an envelope. Lots of shells and black rocks on the beach.
This was my first time here. Thanks to other reviews, I saw I brought bug spray for the trail, and thank goodness I did! The mosquitoes were terrible. If you stop for even a second, you are covered. I went in the beginning of June and at 9 am for low tide. The beach itself is very pritty the drift wood is so unique and the rocks are very cool!. Nice soft sand! Very peaceful for sure. The downside for me is that it was listed as one of the best places for tidepools, and I really didn't find anything more than crabs and some tiny fishes. I had high expectations to find some super cool things for my first tidepool experience, but this was not the spot for that. Otherwise very beautiful, it's worth going just for the beauty alone.
A must see! My boyfriend and I made it in time to watch the sunrise there. Walk was nice but the mosquitoes ate us alive. I’m from the country and I’ve never seen them as bad as they were on this trail. Bring bug repellent and maybe wear long sleeves. Once you get to the shore you can go left and it takes you through the bone yard and to a huge area of beautiful black rock.
Nice half mile walk through protected flora to a natural beach, keep that in mind and bring bug spray for the walk. Also, this is a “no dogs” beach. Driftwood and black rocks are nice to explore and check out.
I can confirm this is the most beautiful beach in Florida. (I've been to a ton of Florida beaches)
This is a magic place. It is excellent for slow walks on the beach. It is simply beautiful. From this beach, you can see Amelia Island State Park far in the distance. You must visit this beach while in Jacksonville.
Beautiful unique beach. I'm not going to knock a star off for nature, but we ended up with ticks all over my bag and stuff. I've never seen ticks in number like that, I found 10. Just a heads up to check yourself after walking the wooded trail.
Beautiful beach for exploring and taking photos. Extremely fine, white sand -- feels great under foot but not good for picnics because it's always blowing on you. Lots of trees and interesting driftwood.
Well worth the half mile trek to get to Boneyard Beach. The trail is shady and rustic. There are no spots to sit and rest on the trail, so make sure to bring drinking water if it is a warm humid day. The trail leads to a beautiful bay beach that is n

I came in to order a quesito but they didnât have them on the menu. Instead I order I believe the new beef sandwich which is like an upgraded to their Cuban sandwich. It was so good. Then on top of it he brought me out his handmade quesito just
