Very nice Fall afternoon spent there. There were still people swimming! My wife and I looked for some cool rocks, and found an eye agate. Definitely worth a stop to check it out!
Lake Superior the greatest of the great lakes. Hard to believe it's a lake really. The beach is nothing like anything I have seen before. Best rock hounding beach. The area was clean well kept and over all beautiful. Parking was about 5 minutes of a walk from the beach. It wasn't even hard to get the wagon full of beach toys chairs and goodies down the path. Can't wait to be able to bring my family here again.
Nice park and walking paths to Lake Superior. Cool suspension bridge as well. It does require a National Park pass for parking.
Well taken care of, sprawling park area with access to the river, lake, beautiful sandy beach and some hiking. Many beautiful waterfalls to stop at on the way to or from this place. This is a must if you’re in the area.
The waterfalls are beautiful, and the lakefront shows the power of the great lake with numerous logs and driftwood. We even found some cool rocks. Neat place to visit!
Awesome beach to visit and search for that special Agate rock! Lots of timber had been washed up onto the beach, so we saw little huts built everywhere. It was worth the visit with my wife and furry son!🙂
Really pretty views. You need 5 Dollar cash to go in. Worth the drive.
Awesome stop.. I don't know how far you can hike up the Black River on the other side, I know there is a trail with a sign for rainbow falls, on the other side of the bridge. Did not take that trail cannot tell you how tough it is. Nice walk out to the beach on Superior the beach was covered with Driftwood.
