Black River Beach - Beach in La Crosse - 1433 Rose St, USA

It is so cool living walking distance to a beautiful beach! Sandy beach edge, volleyball courts, a landing for water vehicles, and a nice info center, snd picnic area. LaCrosse did a good job upgrading this beach.

My family loves having the beach so close! Fishing trips, picnics, bike rides, options are limitless. I like the fact we can all wash off before heading home. Sand is so hard to get out of the car! My concern are the lack of guards this year. It seems as though there's more litter on the beach and several small children by themselves. That's alarming to me! I would much rather have guards on the beaches, than cheaper taxes! It would benefit the whole neighborhood.

Free beach spot along the Mississippi. Plenty of parking. Covered picnic area. Not crowded when we visited on a summer weekend evening.

This was fun but it's right next to the boat loading dock. The beach is small and it wasn't very clean. It did the job to cool us of in the hot summer sun.

Very few people their when we got here. And we didn't stay long, it's a filthy river, barely a beach. Better use of the boat launch for fishing.

A beautiful place to get away from the bustling life of the city over looking the beautiful black River

Awesome place to bring the family! A lot of swimming, great fishing, close to several boat launches, close to restaurants, marina, gas station, close to Copland Park featuring a water park for kids.

we had fun visiting Black River Beach on a hot day. There were a lot of young people and families around on the weekday. we were camping across the river at the Great River Bluffs State Park. We even got the chance to be interviewed on the news because of the excessive heat! Great way to cool off, clean area. However, the exterior bathrooms were not open, despite emitting a terrible smell and we had trips through a Lobby and a special event to change into our street clothes.
