I have dropped into Black Flag multiple times when I travel back to Ohio and I could not speak more highly of this gym. The coaches and community are so welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The space and equipment are world class. I highly recommend Black Flag to anyone who is looking for a gym

Fantastic gym! Knowledgeable coaches, friendly members. A variety of workouts each week and always a focus on proper form. There are options for modifications for every level so a great gym for beginners or experienced crossfitters alike. Highly recommend dropping in for a class!

I joined Black Flag Athletics in 2018, and have never looked back! The coaching staff does a fantastic job of explaining the workouts, demonstrating movements, and creating a fun, energizing environment. The workouts are thoughtfully planned out, and there are always plenty of scaling options to make sure you get the most out of your hour at the gym. If you're looking for a CrossFit affiliate in the Cleveland area - I recommend dropping into BFA to check it out!

I have been with Black Flag about a year. Great community and coaches. There's a lot of variety for all fitness levels and everyone is welcome. Coaches are attentive and scale/offer alternatives to members who might need them. Highly recommend checking Black Flag out!

I feel at home at BF and I’m appreciative of this place! The workouts are great, I feel like I'm in better shape now in my mid 40's than I did 20 years ago. I travelled around a lot in the fall/winter season of 2022 and dropped into countless different CrossFit gyms and this was by far one of my favorites. Not only did this gym have spotless and brand new equipment, but they were also so welcoming and the community was one of the best that I saw when I was traveling around. Unfortunately I am not living around that area but if I were anywhere around the Cleveland/Avon area, I would 100% be a member of this gym. I love Black Flag! The coaches are extremely educated, motivating and helpful. The programming is spot on for my strength goals - I improved my back squat by 20 pounds over the last year after plateauing for years. Highly recommending checking BFA out whether you're in town for a visit or looking for a new gym long-term.

I have been working out at Black Flag Athletics since May 2017. The coaching staff at Black Flag are awesome and the programming is probably one of the best I’ve seen compared to other boxes I’ve been to. Once you walk into Black Flag you will be treated like family and that is one of the best parts of working out at this gym. Great community willing to support everyone that attends classes, etc. Overall an awesome CrossFit box.
