there is a lot of great here. The drinks are quite good, the music room is very good. the booking is excellent. since you pick your seats you don't have to get there early for some kind of scrum. if you know where to park nearby it can be an easy place. there are two annoying things. first is the idea of seating in waves, only needed if you are getting food. you can show up 5 minutes before downbeat if you want drinks and the music. second is all the added fees. multiple extra charges on the bill and none are a tip. i get a place like this has to make money in the food and drinks but whoa if you are on a budget def try to pay the 25 bucks 'minimum' and i hope they don't add all the fees to make it 40 bucks. that being said i had a great time, excellent room excellent sound.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, there is a 20% service charge added to your bill (in addition to the 10% city charge) and they make it clear on the menu that this is not gratuity, so you're still expected to tip. So, at that point, you should plan on spending an additional 50% (20% service charge, 10% city charge, 20% tip) on top of the $30-$40 per plate charge for dinner. But you won't find this out until you're seated and have purchased your $50 per person tickets (plus a service charge) It's too bad. The music was incredible, the food was delicious, but I would never be back because of the way they grift their customers through fees.

I’ve been here plenty of times within the past decade, especially before the pandemic. It was one of my favorite places to go in the city for some live jazz. I was planning to go this weekend but I noticed 30% in additional fees (not including tip) will be added to the bill if I decided to go. One is a 20% service fee to ensure a living wage for their employees. Also, a 10% safety and benefit tax. These are posted on their website during checkout. I won’t be returning unless there’s musicians I really want to see perform.

I love this place! I really do! The atmosphere and the idea and the great service! Amazing job! However, it’s pricey. $19 glass of wine becomes $28 after all kinds of fees, and that does not include a tip. Hopefully, it’ll be more clear on the menu how much everything actually is. Thank you!

Had an amazing time! I showed up about 45 minutes early to the show and the staff were very friendly to me while I waited for the rest of my party to show up. Nina was absolutely AMAZING and was able to move us from our table in the back to a table right in front of the stage. Amazing experience!

I struggled with how many stars to give in this review. The food was very flavourful and the service was exceptional, but I wasn't fond of the jazz group. To me jazz is classy, but this was a whole different experience for me. In my opinion, the music was definitely not classy. There was a lot of vulgar language used during the performance. As soon as we were done eating we asked for our check so we could leave. We did not want to stay to end of the performance. We paid $45 per person for our reservation, and another $90 per person for dinner and one drink. For the price we paid it would have been nice to enjoy a good performance.

A really nice dinner and jazz club in the Tenderloin. Pleasant bar upstairs, and performances with bar and dinner downstairs. They get some really great musicians and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with high energy for the music. A few tables have obstructed views but I have always found great seating. Highly recommended.

We came here to hear Detroit-based Urban Art Orchestra and had a nice time. They have a solid wine & cocktail selection, but service could be improved a bit.
