This place is absolutely delicious. Every single item we ordered from the menu was so good. The service was excellent and the plates were large enough to share between three people. We ordered a few alcoholic beverages and split a handful of plates. The chicken flatbread was juicy, fluffy, but still light. The short ribs were absolutely delicious with potatoes. We also ordered the curry with bread and two desserts. You MUST get the lemon cheesecake, but only if you are committed to lemons.

This place has to be responsible for creating many vegetarians. To be clear, I am a meat lover, but between the cauliflower fritters with kolkata pepper sauce and the blasted broccoli, you could be fooled into thinking that all vegetables are phenomenal. For carnivores, the beef short ribs fall off the bone (literally) and a must try. The wine and cocktail list is solid and between my wife and I, we haven't met a drink on their list we didn't like. The service is cordial and prompt, even when busy. It's also good for groups up to ~12 Sorry for the half empty plates in the photos - it was so good, we couldn't help ourselves! Do yourself a favor and give this a try (remember the fritters)!!

A friend and mine were in Bellevue for a business meeting from Savannah and Charleston, two places known for great food and drinks, and were looking for a place to have a drink after dinner. The reviews for Black Bottle mentioned craft cocktails so we walked down from our hotel and were fortunate to be one of only a few people at the bar. The bartender (Nick I think) was amazing and took a few minutes to chat with us on what we might like and then made us some exceptional cocktails. My friend had never had a Pisco Sour before but after trying Nick's perfected version of one fell in love with it. One turned in to 3 different very special cocktails (1 a surprise he made for us) and we had an outstanding experience at the bar. The atmosphere is open and lively which is always what I'm looking for. Highly recommended. I wanted to have dinner here but got outvoted by my colleagues earlier in the night for another spot. On my next trip out can't wait to dine here also if the food is as good as the drinks.

Cocktails were great. Vegetable options were good. The beets were an interesting take on a beet lasagna very unique flavor profiles.

Phenomenal food and top notch service. Our server, David, was extremely friendly, courteous and had a great sense of humor. He also didn't laugh at us when we ordered too much. The menu is incredible. Each of the veggie dishes we ordered was impeccably delicious. The meat dishes were also very good, but didn't knock me off my feet as much. All star award goes to the gruyere and emmanthal beet dish. I could eat my weight in it. The baby gems salad was a perfect blend of flavors. The sauce on the cauliflower fritters was the right mix of spicy and sweet. I shameless used the leftover sauce on the fried chicken. The chocolate torte dessert will make you change your religion. Definitely come here and bring friends!

It's just impossible to reccomend eating here. Serving size to price is just not worth it. Waitress advertised the portions to be good for sharing but what what we recieved was indeed a portion. An extremely small portion. Taste of all the food we had (lamb, tacos, etc...) were all average at best and many other local bars can make better cocktails at half the price. Restaraunt chairs were uncomfortable with no padding. The more you look around, the more you realize how worn down and barely maintained things are in the building. Honestly seeing the bill vs the quality of food /drink we recieved... this may be the most disappointing meal I've had in Bellevue. Just go to John Howie happy hour or normal hour if you really want to feel good about your purchase.

Black bottle was a new spot that four other friends and I wanted to try out together. I will be saying that the food itself was between three - four stars. Unfortunately, the interaction with the staff was more so around one to two stars and for that reason, I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. I will say that the ambience and environment was however a five star in my book! (Despite them declining our request to sit near the fire. A few constructive critiques that I have, if the staff and managers want to improve upon: -online the menu for happy hour drinks is listed, and if you scroll further down the website, they have something called late night, snacks, and platters — this to me gives the illusion that these are also “happy hour specials” -most restaurants still let their customers finish up their dinner. However, we noticed that the closing time for this restaurant was 11 PM, as we were seated, finishing up our meal, they began to dim the lights wait a few moments, then raise the lights, and at 11 o’clock sharp somebody from the staff said thank you for joining us everyone please exit essentially… this was unexpected and did not leave us really feeling warmly welcomed. -while the food was pretty good, I was a little bit sad to hear that some of the drinks on their happy hour menu were no longer available because they had run out. I do think it’s worth mentioning that our experience with the staff was a little bit mixed, because I do think that the waiter and server Bryce who ended up taking care of our table, did an exceptional job, and was friendly and pleasant to work with.

Tried this place for the first time today and it was fantastic. I personally recommend the crab and artichoke gratin, cauliflower fritters, or the braised beef short ribs. Also, for dessert the bourbon bread pudding was incredible.
