Black Bear Diner - American restaurant in Santa Clarita - 23626 Valencia Blvd, USA

This is my second time at this location. I like atmosphere, friendly service . Decently prices for the quanity. This Cobb salad cost $20.99. For 2 people, plan on spending about $60. Will be coming back.

Service was so pleasant. Our waiter Jose was so friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and didn’t take too long to get to us. Will definitely be stopping next time we’re in the area.

It’s a huge step up from Denny’s or IHOP. Great atmosphere and really good food! I love the cornbread, the giant Biscuit with gravy, and of course, The Volcano for breakfast! The staff is great but they are a little slow getting to refills and checking in. But it never became an issue. Could just be understaffed. The kids stuff was pretty cute and tasty.

Good food and fun place but a little pricey

Such a cute fun place for a meal. Breakfast is so good with many options their sweet cream pancakes are amazing. Kids meals are so budget friendly it’s great to bring my big family. The service is always great fast and friendly.

Our Christmas Day host cancelled last minute due to illness. We found Black Bear open when other restaurants were closed. What a treat! Our little group felt welcomed and enjoyed a scrumptious meal during nice conversation. Thanks to Gale for providing friendly service on this holiday.

Really fun diner right by Six Flags with excellent breakfast. The eggs were delicious, and the staff were nice and efficient. Fun black bear Cali theme. Would recommend, it’s hard to find good diners and this is one of them.

Um. It’s hard to rate this because our family TRULY enjoys black bear diner restaurants! Food is great and service is USUALLY great! This location however is the exception. Once we got here after leaving Magic Mountain we waited 10 minutes before someone could show up to the stand. We had to ask if we were supposed to “seat ourselves” to which we were told: “No but yes, please take a seat right here in front of us” mind you there was 3 workers and about 4 families eating (meaning the restaurant was DEAD). We then asked for crayons (customary for them to give you crayons for the kiddos to color and keep them busy). We were given 2 crayons from the package and were told “crayons are provided upon request and even then we only give them 1 so consider yourselves lucky because they end up breaking them and throwing them.” Surprising they were very quick to judge and automatically put our son in a category with other children who probably misbehave. We stayed because we had absolutely no choice but to eat (we were seated and our son made himself comfortable). If you can avoid coming here, I’d recommend that. The food is great! The service at THIS particular location was BEYOND horrible. I think someone at McDonald’s would embarrass their staff by the manners they have. Before leaving it seemed Laura the server was very passive aggressive. While she was not directly rude to us, she kept arguing with a fellow server about tips not being distributed properly and arguing about how any more customers that came in would go upstairs instead of the bottom unless they were “nasty”.
