Black Bear Diner Great Falls - American restaurant in Great Falls - 1420 Market Pl Dr, USA

We tend to be picky breakfast eaters and I loved the breakfast here. The waiter was kind enough to allow us to sit by the fireplace as it was cold. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and did not include fake processed ingredients. Loved the cottage and black bear feel. I was surprised it was not busier. There was only one waiter working but he was hustling. Too many more customers would have made it difficult I am sure. I would most definitely eat here again.

By far the worst service I've had any where. It took 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. And then another 20 for her to come get the order. An hour for our food to come. And my husbands order was wrong. The diner was dead, as she had 1 other table. She was behind the counter hugging the dishwasher while he brushed his hair. By far the grossest thing I've witnessed. The atmosphere was cute and has a lot of potential but I wouldn't recommend until they get new owners and employees.

Went in to have dinner with my boyfriend and was really disappointed. The places is gorgeous and clean, but the service is awful. We were the only table in the restaurant and once our food was delivered our waitress was no where in sight. Not once were we asked how our meal was or if we needed refills. We were able to finish our meals and sit for another 10 minutes before even seeing someone (who wasn’t even our waitress) before getting our bill. It was to the point we were gonna slap cash on the table and leave. Won’t be going back.

In town for a couple days, had dinner here this evening. This place was neat, I liked the decor. My food was cooked quickly and perfectly. I personally didn’t care for the sauce that came on it but that was a preference thing. The staff and I believe manager were so nice and unnecessarily apologetic. Once again, the dislike for the sauce was a personal taste. I’m still going 5 stars because the staff. Oh and before I forget, I picked up a bread pudding on the way out, AMAZING! 10 stars for that alone! I will return next time I’m in town.

Eric (sp) was our server. From start to finish there were three other tables in the restaurant, not including our party. Our server took a rather long time to take our order, so long in fact that another person in our group had enough time between sitting down and receiving our food to drive clear across town to join us and we still had only received drinks. When the order was finished the food arrived and was not correct. Some meals were delicious and others were just not made correctly or did not have fresh ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant was phenomenal. Watching other people walk in and not be seated was very discouraging. Seems to me this establishment could use restaffing. I will not return

We had a bit of a wait for our table, and food, but it was fine. The servers were very communicative, and there was plenty of seating for the wait. Our server was friendly, with some good recommendations on the menu. The food was great. The only problem with our meal is that the waitress first brought my friend a dirty mug with her coffee. My friend asked her if the mug was just stained, or if it was dirty. My friend was able to wipe the slime off of the inside of the mug. Thankfully, despite assurances that the mug was clean, but stained, the waitress did bring a fresh, clean mug. This is a lovely place, and I do strongly recommend it!

Went there for breakfast today and we both got the steak and egg special. Our server Eric was great! The host, maybe named Daniel (name on the receipt), was also great. The food was really good! We'll be back. The only thing I wish for was different jam options.

The ONLY reason I gave a 4 for service is we had to wait a while for our drinks. The waitress we had was phenomenal despite not usually being a waitress and explained to us why it took so long for the drinks. She apologized multiple times and after that things were great. The food was delicious and everyone friendly. Would 100% eat here again if in the neighborhood
