Black Bear Diner - American restaurant in Fayetteville - 4078 N College Ave, USA

We went there for breakfast (my wife and I). I had the Shasta Scramble and a Waffle. My wife ordered a waffle and bacon. All was cooked to absolute perfection. I wanted the set of their hot sauce so I asked our waitress (Julia) who went out of her way to check on this for me. They were out and will order for me. Julia is one of the best servers I have ever had. Very attentive and she makes sure the customer's order is exactly right! She deserves a raise! This is my favorite restaurant! I love the food and service.(FYI: What I spent includes a 25% tip on the grand total)

Dined here twice in the last 2 weeks. Breakfasts, burger, salad, salmon... It has all been fantastic. Servers have been great also. Months of driving by it, thinking I'd like to try it. Only regret is not stopping sooner.

VERY impressed. Great food. HUGE portions. VERY reasonable prices. Staff was great. Very nice welcoming atmosphere. Very clean. We will definitely be back. A+

i can’t see what’s not-to-love about Black Bear Diner!!!! big portions sizes, great service, good coffee, and solid eats! it is not the best food you’ll ever have but it is surely enjoyable! we got a few omelettes, a scramble bowl, and some pancakes! all was great! our server Kim was also amazing and full of character!

I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. I love the bear decor, the food is amazing, and the service is awesome. Can't wait to come back and try the coconut pie and biscuits and gravy.

The food was hot and fresh! Despite this being an old Applebees, this establishment was fun and just what we were looking for on a Sunday morning breakfast date. Ethan was our server and he was AMAZING! They were able to make accommodations to our meals due to food allergies without any pushback and that made us enjoy the experience even more. Portions were “bear sized” (loved this phrase that Ethan used!) and well worth it for the price. Can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately there was nothing special about this diner. The moment we walked in, we were greeted and sat to our table. The menu was huge and had so many options. The menu offered breakfast, lunch and dinner although the portions though didn’t match the prices. For a 10.99 Bear Special, I got 2 eggs scrambled, 2 slices of thick cut bacon and French toast dusted in powdered sugar. Thinking that I was ordering something decent sized, it didn’t quite come out that way. The eggs had like a milky taste, French toast wasn’t “dusted” like it was hyped to be and the bacon was really the only saving grace on my plate. The other funny thing is the garnish on the breakfast plate…. Lemon and lettuce. I ended up taking my lemon and put it in the water for flavor since nothing else seemed to have any. I’m from kansas visiting in vacation and I’m not sure if the coffee is different back home, but that had a burnt taste too. When the waitress asked if we needed more, we politely declined. There wasn’t enough creamer to save it… literally. The waitress was nice but only checked in with us once. I had to get my own mustard from the station behind me. Extra napkins weren’t a thing either. Before coming here, I read the reviews and was excited to eat at the diner but overall I wouldn’t stop here again. Should have stuck with Waffle House down the street, just wasn’t worth the gas, the $33 and the 10 minute drive.

Just passing through from our trip to Minnesota. So happy my husband found this place. Loved the food... Huge servings... All good no complaints. Wishing we had a black bear diner in Texas.
