Awesome decor! Very woodsy with cute bears everywhere...inside and out! Menu is printed on newsprint. The food was delicious with very large helpings. Had to wait longer than was necessary to order. Friends seated at another table who came in with us had to wait because of the time it took for us to get to order.

I have 2 crazy, hyper toddlers. A 1.5 year old and a 2.5 year old. They were both high energy and didn't want to sit still while waiting. The staff were so friendly and understanding. The Black Bear Diner has great food and AMAZING staff. Definitely recommend this cozy place for families, as well as account in general. Definitely will be visiting again soon. We got cute pj's for both girls and cute teddy bears as well. Didn't snap pics of the inside as that's when they starred getting antsy.

Great place to eat breakfast on your way to the wineries. Service was excellent and the food was tasty...way better than Cracker Barrel! The hunting lodge decor was very cool as well. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Black Bear Diner, and I must say, the experience was absolutely fantastic! The food was beyond amazing, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by one particular server. This was our second time visiting the neighborhood due to a remodeling project we've been working on, and we were in need of a good meal to fuel up for the day. That's when we decided to stop by The Black Bear Diner and were fortunate enough to be served by an awesome server. Although I can't recall his name, I remember he was an African American male from Louisiana, and he truly made our visit memorable. From the moment we entered, he greeted us with warmth and treated us like family. His genuine hospitality and enthusiasm were contagious, instantly putting us at ease. Not only did he make us feel welcome, but he also went above and beyond by suggesting some truly remarkable food items. Being from South Carolina, I was craving some authentic grits, and he made it happen! The grits were absolutely delicious and satisfied my craving perfectly. What truly stood out was his extraordinary customer service. He took the time to ensure we were comfortable, checked on us regularly, and even engaged in friendly conversation. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their customers and goes the extra mile to provide exceptional service, but this server did just that. I want to express my sincere appreciation for his efforts in making our dining experience at The Black Bear Diner truly remarkable. He exemplified the epitome of excellent customer service, and his passion for his work was evident in every interaction. Thanks to his recommendations and attentiveness, our meal was not only delicious but also an enjoyable experience. However, I do have one small complaint regarding my attempt to find out the server's name. Today, when I called the restaurant to inquire about his name, the receptionist seemed hesitant and claimed not to know who I was referring to. It seemed as though there was a fear of potential negative feedback prompting this reaction. I want to clarify that my intention was quite the opposite. I strongly believe that this exceptional server deserves recognition for his outstanding service, and I wanted to take the time to let him know how much we appreciated him. Despite this minor hiccup, it does not diminish the overall amazing experience we had at The Black Bear Diner. I highly recommend visiting The Black Bear Diner, not just for their incredible food but also for the exceptional service provided by their remarkable staff, especially this outstanding server from Louisiana. I met my friend on a Monday afternoon & the place was so busy! Luckily Black Bear is equipped to handle very large crowds. The service was wonderful, as always. The food was good, hearty & filling. This is not a place to go if you're on a diet or prefer to eat healthy. Although they do have limited healthy choices. This is more of a huge American diner.

Had the chicken avocado club, basically a blt with avocado and chicken. Sounds wonderful. It wasn't. I took it apart and tasted all the elements separately to figure out where the funky flavor was coming from. Everything tasted fine,but the chicken was seasoned weirdly and in a way that didn't compliment the other ingredients. Maybe my taste buds are weird, but the combination of flavors resulted in what can only be described as bologna. I don't recommend it at all. But go ahead and taste it for yourself. You will discover that you wasted your money and time, which is precious.

A very great waitress waited on our table. She was upbeat very polite with a Fantastic Attitude. We were there on Saturday evening the 4th of November. Our bill was a decent price but we tipped the waitress $20 just for her excellent Attitude and service. More importantly she could teach others how to be a Great Waitress 😊

My waitress was nice but didn't get the order correct, another waitress fixed it. I watched my waitress go to other tables and focused on them and didn't check on us , to the point I went and got her so I could get the check. Will go back again because the food is delicious and I hope the service picks up. Otherwise, I'll take out only.
