Black Bear Diner - American restaurant in North Little Rock - 2724 Lakewood Village Dr, USA

1st time in Arkansas and decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat. Food was good - restrooms could’ve used more cleaning. Waitress did good but came by towards the end asking if we wanted refills - by then we were done

First time here and it was a great big breakfast. All my food had good flavor and tasted fresh. Didn't wait long at all. Went on a Friday morning. My breakfast sliders were perfect!

I saw this place on the interwebs and was pretty stoked about it. I was there at dinner time and the place was dead. It's a cool looking joint and their menu is huge. I ordered the Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak. It was ok. The mashed potatoes and butternut squash were, too. I make great gravy, so I'm pretty critical. Theirs was fairly bland. I wanted the berry cobbler, but "they hadn't had that in a while", so I orderedbthe apple cobbler a la mode, but they were out of ice cream 🙄 The cobbler was pretty good and easily the best thing I had. It looked like mostly kids working there. Like either in high school or just out of it. They just hung out at the bar the whole time. I sat near the bar, so my service was fine, but I don't know about the few other tables that weren't near me. Regardless, it wasn't a good look. Apparently, there are a lot of these out west. I guess I'd say it's kinda like Cracker Barrel. Kinda.

The service was very poor. They were not busy. Once seated it took about 10 minutes for our waitress to great us. Food was so so. We both ordered BLT sandwiches, one with fries and one with potatoe soup. The BLT's had 2 pieces of bacon on the sandwich so it was mostly lettuce and tomatoes. The soup was very watery. No flavor or spices. They brought out my sandwich but my soup came out later. Then I had to wait on a spoon after getting the soup. Too much waiting.

Waitress Nikki, was absolutely amazing. she created a very nice and calming atmosphere for me and my family's table. Most definitely recommend their breakfast! I am having a time!

I've been here a few times now, and it's been a good experience each time. Our last visit in particular was the best yet. Our waiter Earnest was top notch. Super cool dude, very professional, and very great at his job. The food was also fantastic. They always have huge portions for very cheap prices, so you're almost guaranteed a second meal in leftovers for less money than most places. Highly recommend this place 👌🏼💯

This is the third time we have eaten here, and each time was great! The service was excellent and the food was delicious! I got "The Grizz" and my wife got the "Southern Scram" bowl. 👍👍

I had high hopes for this place and it was our first time trying the food. And after receiving it, unfortunately, it will be the last time. Our food was not tasty by no means, it lacked flavor. The texture of the cornbread muffin (were supposed to have been two, but only received one) was very odd. The temperature of all the food was not close to being hot nor warm. But the most unforgettable and unforgivable surprise was the mold on the bottom of my dessert, the bread pudding (was missing the pecan praline sauce and the ice cream) this really sucked because I was looking so forward to this. After seeing that mold I just felt even sicker, and vomit what I had ate up. I will not be eating here again. I paid a lot of money to get this and to not have enjoyed it was a big let down 😞👎. Update: It's been a few days now and even though I was told that someone would be reaching out, I have not heard from anyone yet.
