Bistro St. Emanuel - American restaurant in Mobile - 200 St Emanuel St, USA

We had an amazing dinner here on NYE. We had three kids with us and they were unbelievably accommodating. Our server, Andrew, spoke to the chef and they made all three boys cheeseburgers which were delicious. Every food item served was phenomenal. We happened upon this place via Open Table, but will absolutely be back. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here. Andrew was the best server ever and super kind to our kiddos. 10/10 recommend all around.

This place is awesome. My colleague and I hosted dinner for our clients and everything was super good. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Their recommendations about food and drinks was on point.

Nice quaint restaurant. My first time going, definitely not the last. Our server was great! She made good suggestions on the food. She kept our table full with beautiful glass water bottles🥰. I really love this place. I look forward to going again. Did I mention great mimosas 😋? I ordered the Alabama omelet with crab meat and oven potatoes and fruit cups, along with apple juice.

Our groups experience was not very pleasant. We should have left as soon as we were asked how many of us there were. When I answered 8, the girl was not pleased. She then let us know we would have to sit outside and asked if that was ok. She then just pointed to where we go outside. She did not follow us or anything. So, we sat ourselves and pulled together tables and chairs. No big deal. It was when we almost left after sitting outside for 10 minutes before even ordering our drinks we started realizing this was a bad idea. We were there for 2 hours. We only wanted to be there for 1 hour. The children were really getting restless as we were there for 1 hour before getting our food. Which the children ordered a yogurt with granola, mixed pastries (which were obviously already made), and a waffle. They should not have had to wait so long for theirs at all. It was so bad, my husband who has been a server most his life, only left 18% tip. He rarely does that. He normally leaves a 20%.

A brunch review- Food is great. I would recommend the poutine or the benedict. As someone who does not love seafood, I have a hard time with the Benedict options but am told that it is good. (I think there's only one without seafood.) Bloody Mary is like $5 on Saturday and is pretty solid. The omelet is really good, but I prefer something more out of the ordinary for brunch. Customer service is fine. The first time we went it took us an hour to receive our food. We received an apology but honestly it was aweful. We've since been back twice and it has been better. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. Atmosphere is excellent on the inside as the bar area is very cute and historic. The neighborhood that the resturant is located in is adorable and very old mobile. Love the patio but it needs some love. There's an empty lot nextdoor where some kids were playing while their parents finished brunch.

Beautiful restaurant, art deco design. The fresh catch of the day, flounder was delicious along with the pasta pomodoro with shrimp. The French Onion soup was very rich with flavor, our favorite actually(chef nailed it). The staff was very attentive and Candace was an amazing server. We will return to try some other dishes, maybe sit at the beautiful bar and have some petite plats.

We went for Easter brunch. It was delightful. Great ambiance, everything was delicious. Our server was great. I enjoyed our experience.
