my boyfriend and i tried this place on a whim last minute and i have to say by far this was the best experience i’ve ever had! we had Jessica as our server and she was so helpful on what we should order! she gave us loads of recommended dishes and every single dish we ordered from appetizer to dessert was delicious!! i forgot to take pics of all the dishes we ordered but i did manage to get one, the crab cake… shortly after that we devoured every dish the second they got to the table!

Food wasn't horrible but it wasn't memorable either. Our server forgot the lobster bisque and the service was a bit slow. It was New Years eve so that could be the reason. But I truly expected more for the price they charge. Downtown Youngstown is changing for the better and will need a quality, high end restaurant, because this place isn't it.

I’ve been following Bistro 1907 on Instagram for the longest time and have been begging my husband to take me. He finally made reservations for this evening and it was the most perfect date night! It’s a beautifully decorated restaurant, the service is spectacular and the food is absolutely delicious. Not only is the food delicious, but the presentation is on point! We will be back- probably once a week!

Wow! In town for a concert and needed a place for dinner. Bistro 1907 did not disappoint! Our server Jessica was the best: very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of how the dishes were prepared. The Faroe Salmon was exceptional and my husband said the Pimento cheese burger was one of the best he has had. Definitely enjoyed the preparation of the calamari. Will be back again to try the peppers and bread!

On a recent visit to Youngstown, my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by the culinary excellence of Bistro 1907 by Mark Canzonetta. This charming eatery, nestled within the DoubleTree by Hilton, harmoniously fuses the city's historic essence with an elevated dining experience. Our first encounter was an exploration of unique flavors: I chose the refreshing Crispy Shrimp Salad, adorned with an enticing Green Goddess dressing, while my boyfriend was drawn to the Truffle Ribeye, cooked to perfection and topped with an egg. This initial experience was accentuated by the restaurant's tasteful lighting, which cast a flattering glow, accentuating my boyfriend's muscular features and making him look particularly handsome. The second night was another memorable experience, this time further enhanced by the delightful service of Amber. Her radiant smile and meticulous attention to our needs transformed our dinner into an extraordinary event. I decided to try the Burger, an expert blend of brisket, chuck, and other premium cuts of steak, and chose to have it well-done. To my delight, despite being cooked thoroughly, it remained impressively juicy and packed with flavor. My boyfriend, continuing his culinary exploration, relished the traditional Fish and Chips. Our dinner was brought to a fitting close with a decadent Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake, coupled with a Salted Caramel Ice Cream - a delightful conclusion to our dining journey. The man behind these exceptional dishes, Chef Alan, deserves special commendation for his remarkable skills and creativity in the kitchen. What's more, for those of us accustomed to big city prices like in Chicago, Bistro 1907 offers an affordable haven of quality cuisine, fantastic service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The memories of the delectable food, the romantic glow of the lights, and Amber's inviting service, make us eagerly anticipate our next trip to Youngstown, with Bistro 1907 certainly on our itinerary.

Located on the ground floor of the downtown Youngstown, OH Doubletree, Bistro 1907 never disappoints! Tonight started with the butternut squash soup topped w/ roasted pistachio and dried pomegranate. Entree was Korean Beef Bulgogi Short Rib. I stay here often for business, this restaurant would be a top spot in ANY major city in America. Check em out!

Dined here for the first time 2 weeks ago and it was amazing!! We had brunch items, and everything was delicious. Cindi was our server, she was spot on for everything!! Can’t speak enough great things about her. We are back in town this weekend and dined again for brunch. Another outstanding meal and service by Cindi. We highly recommend it. The blueberry pancakes with the vanilla whipped cream are my new favorite breakfast food 😊😊

I love Youngstown and I love local businesses, so writing a critical review is hard. But tonight was a disappointment and I hope that it will be taken as constructive but I have so little good to say that it's hard. I'd also like to say as a disclaimer to the rest of the review that we have been here twice before, both times were good experiences, and I would expect that we would come again in the future, provided that this was a one off and not a sign of an underlying deteriorating quality. From the outset, even on a relatively quiet Thursday early evening, we were seated directly by the bar and only other seated group and the noise from the surrounding patrons made the atmosphere overly suffocating. This was not in itself a major problem for us. It was clear we were the servers only table and they struggled to find a balance between being there when you wanted and being there when not wanted. Waiting several minutes to order and then asking several times after the food arrived how it was. Again, this was not a major problem for us. The food (the core of the restaurant experience) was the reason for the tone of this review, it is plainly not as good as it once was or even what is advertised. The grey yolk of the boiled eggs in the cobb salad was the first indication of low quality, which just continues as you compare the menu to what was received; the tomatoes that were grape and not heritage as listed in the menu and portobello mushrooms with the beef medallions and not wild mushrooms as listed on the menu. The arancini balls were in a tomato sauce that had chunks of frozen sauce. The worst were the fries, they were inedible, hard as a rock and flavourless, like they had been cooked the day before and dried out. Our bill was $200 and this was with one starter, two entrees with side salads and three drinks. No desserts. Including 20% tip. We know this restaurant can provide high quality, but tonight they fell far short, at a price point where falling short isn't acceptable.
