Birches Motel - Motel in Gansevoort - 660 Saratoga Rd, USA

This place was reasonable in comparison to other hotels during race season. Overall, we were happy with the room…it was clean, had a fridge and microwave, and only about 5-10 minutes from downtown Saratoga. Super easy check in as it is online and you are then able to access your room. The one downfall was the bathroom…it is TINY…no curtain on the bathroom window, which is in direct vision of backyard, and the water pressure was non existent. A mirror somewhere else in the room would also be a good addition.

I recently stayed at The Birches, a super cute and dog-friendly roadside motel near Saratoga Springs, on a hot summer night, and it totally blew me away. This is hands down the nicest roadside motel I’ve ever been to. The best part? The easy auto check-in process! You just check in online and get a code emailed to you for your room. The AC was ice-cold, which was perfect for the hot weather, and the whole place was spotless. The bed was really comfy, and you could tell the motel had been recently updated—it felt fresh and modern. Whether you’re just passing through or planning a longer stay, I highly recommend The Birches for its awesome blend of convenience, comfort, and charm.

This was probably one of the best motel experiences I've had. Everything about the situation was easy. I received a text the day of my check-in with a door code. I pinned that text to the top of my messages, so I always had easy access to it and had no problems with getting in/out of the room. The place was clean, facilities were renovated, and it was spacious enough for me to spread my stuff all over and still walk around comfortably. They offer amenities, so if you don't have shampoo, body wash, etc. it's all there! The rooms also have a thermostat and AC, which worked well. Wifi was great. I spent a decent amount of time in the room just working at the desk. Full kitchenette was functional, I could store some snacks that saved me the trouble of hunting down food and coffee in the morning. That said, they provided tea and coffee in the room, and I noticed a voucher to pick up complimentary coffee and a snack at a local spot, which is pretty cool. It's a drive away from the downtown party area, but I was able to catch an uber for about $15, so if you don't want to drink and drive or don't have a car, it's still good to stay to hang out in the main st. area of Saratoga Springs. Overall, I would be very happy to stay here again! It's a great no hassle, clean, newly-updated, family-owned motel moment!

We had a lovely one-night stay at Birches Motel. Rooms are very comfy, very clean, and have great amenities. We brought our dog and he enjoyed the yard! Location was great for us - 10 minutes from Skidmore College. Loved Compadres Diner, Nove Italian Restaurant and breakfast from Cannone's Deli thanks to a coupon from Birches. Will stay here again when we're in the area.

This is a real gem. Owner David is a terrific guy. He and his business partner acquired this motel recently and have renovated it from top to bottom. It is immaculate. Beds are wonderful! Walk to Dunkin Donuts, Mexican Restaurant (owned by a very nice family from Mexico who opened for business Feb 2023) and a deli. Pizza eat in/takeout a 2 minute drive, mini golf, ice cream spots and, a very short drive to the most popular family style restaurant in the area. If we ever go back, this is where we will stay. Pet friendly too!

I met friends at this motel..my room was very nicely laid out. Large for one person and on the quiet side of the building. Main road gets noisy. Very convenient to Saratoga, CVS, a Liquor store Stewart’s and a diner. ||New owners…I believe 4-6 months. They were very friendly but we didn’t see them that much.||Thermostat could not be adjusted…could not be raised above 68 and wardrobe was covering it. Not used to staying at a place where you don’t have control over the heat. Would suggest having a small heater in the room. ||Picture showed a microwave but that was not exhausted. Refrigerator was a good size. ||Deadbolt did not work and closet door and bathroom door could not be shut all the way. Was told it was due to change of season..needed to be planed? ||Great location and grounds is beautiful..would be nice to be there when it was warmer and sit outside on the lawn swing. Plenty of free parking. ||I hope the owners do well..they still need to work out some kinks and be more reachable. ||Overall, a good value for the money.

We were disappointed in our stay. Upon arrival around 5:00 p.m., we found the door to the office locked, even though there was an "open" sign on the door. We eventually called the phone number posted on the door, and reached voice mail. A short time later, we did get a call back. The person told us which room was ours, and that it was unlocked, with the key in the room. We never saw any staff during our one-night stay.||The room, although clean and apparently recently updated, lacked many amenties, including hair dryer, extra blankets and pillows (only 2 provided), extra towels, microwave, coffee maker, adequate lighting, and furniture to spread out luggage.||We reserved 2 double beds, but the room had one queen bed. There was no carpet, although the simulated wood floors appeared to have been recently replaced.||For the price, we expected more.

Motel correct. Le rapport qualité / prix est raisonnable. Le motel est vieux, mais on peut voir que les propriétaires essaient de le garder en bon état. Pour une nuit lors du étape avant new york, c'est correct. Par contre le petit déjeuner ne justifie pas la réservation de la chambre.
