Bilmar Inn & Suites - Motel in Dell Rapids - 510 N Hwy 77, USA

It's an average hotel. Understand the price you pay and don't think you are going to get a Ritz level hotel. Internet and TV worked just fine. Bed was comfortable but would have liked more pillows. Location is pretty good only about 20 mins from Sioux Falls. Breakfast isn't great. Had fruit loops or frosted flakes and that was the only thing for continental breakfast. But overall, not a bad place

DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give negative stars I would. Definitely recommend staying in Sioux Falls and save yourself the trouble! Owner is extremely rude (you can ask anyone in town). We had 2 adults and 3 children in our room. Owner decided to change price on hotel 3 days into our stay and charged us an extra $50. He knew how many people were staying (verified through email and in person when we checked in). When I asked him why he was charging more he got very ANGRY and told me I was not welcome back at the hotel. Trust me I will NEVER be back or recommend this DIRTY, trashy hotel to anyone!!!! Room had three stained and ragged towels and the rooms are not cleaned properly. Beds had a ton of hair and trash where the headboard is at (see pictures). Save yourself the hassle and stay anywhere else. We also all got many bugs bites while staying here as well. So gross 🤮 Towels were all stained and one had some white sealant stuck all over it. Motel 8 looks like a dream compared to this hole in the wall! Breakfast consisted of Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes, hard cookies and bread. Do not waist your time or money here! Dirty hotel, unprofessional and RUDE owners!!! Trust me, pick any other hotel around the area and do not support bad business like this! I wouldn’t be surprised if the only positive reviews are from family of the owner because everyone I have talked to about this hotel had nothing but negative things to say. It shows 24 hour front desk service but if you need anything after 10 pm expect to be yelled at by the owner since he is sleeping during that time not actually working the front desk. There are only two people working here; the husband and wife. No other staff. All old outdated furniture and bedding that’s been used over and over for years and it shows.

Mixed feelings about this place. It was the only option close to our destination. Rest of our group of 3 thought it was OK for the money. Beds were clean but linens were very wrinkled Pillows were skimpy. Towels were very thin - very. No hair dryer, iron or ironing board, no coffee pot. I cant remember that i ever stayed in a motel that was so completely lacking in amenities.TV very small ( maybe a 22"). Carpet was very dirty - especially in front of the vanity. tub was filthy. It looked like it is just wiped down between guests and has not had a good scrubbing in forever. Brownish all over except where something had been spilled/poured and that area was clean and white. Waterspots all over including the chrome. My bed was slanted (fortunately, the low part was at my feet) with a 4 - 6 inch drop. We didn't eat breakfast as we had a brunch to attend. However, the coffee WAS surprisingly good but only dry cereal for food choices.

This motel is not welcoming and friendly at all and no air conditioning used in the common areas on very hot days. The room was very dated with bedding and towels that were thin and wrinkled. Our tv did not work but a cord WAS replaced. The host swept the floor by the breakfast area and then took the same dirty broom and swept crumbs off the food prep counter and repeated that process. Disgusting! The soda I got from the vending machine was expired in sept. 2023.

This room would not get any warmer than 61 degrees. Not good and no one would answer the door or registration area to help. One woman was in the hallway who could only say, no English, and she left. The towels were obviously dirty, and the water had no heat. My daughter paid good money for a horrible room. Do not stay here unless you absolutely have to. I Live in Dell Rapids and I am ashamed to say this is our only choice for a hotel. I will have her stay in Sioux Falls next time.

This should be labeled as a motel not a hotel. The staff was hard to understand and barely audible when checking in. The room was awful barely anything to sleep on and the shower had black mold on the curtains. AC doesn’t work and there was lamp cords wrapped around a door that connected to another room. Does not look properly cleaned and there is an awful smell in the hallways. I advise not to come here if you are looking for something clean and comfortable.

Very dirty rooms. My son found a cockroach in his room. Our room was just disgusting. Mystery stains on the box spring and carpet. Corners of the rooms have dirt in them. Clearly missed by housekeeping. Also a very horrible smell in our room. Just pass this place by and stay in Sioux Falls. I work in a motel and this place is very unexceptable 114 has a very bloody box spring. 107 has broken door locks and they use a lamp cord to tie the door shut. Also in 107 is a lg amount of cockroaches in the cabinets... I have pics of it all.

Rings were clean. Owner was very friendly. Well stay again if in the area
