I fell in love with Mom & Pop diners many years ago. My Father and I would go fishing in all manner of out of the way lakes and streams and as fishermen are want to do, we'd leave very early. We'd always stop for breakfast at the first Mom & Pop diner we stumbled across. Most were tiny, with simple but good food. Most of it was scratch made. And it was always cheap. Whether Bill's is a Mom & Pop, or a Greasy Spoon diner is up for debate, nevertheless, the place is tiny, with maybe four or five booths and a very small U shaped counter, that makes for an intimate experience. Donna was the sole waitress when I was there, and it became immediately obvious Bill's is a local joint. It was entertaining to watch Donna banter with the regulars (they were all regulars), all of whom she teased in a playful manner, and they were quick to return the favor. From what I can tell, everything at Bill's is homemade. The menu is small, but typical diner staples are represented, with a daily special, and a soup of the day. My cheeseburger was quite large, and with house-made fries, was an absolute steal at $6.50. The burger was good, and the fries were good too. Some were blackened, but that was fine with me. I enjoyed them. Slow service is a negative. Donna was friendly and took care of my needs, but she was in no hurry to do so. I would not come to Bill's if you're in a rush. The kitchen was slow too, but, that they're making most everything from scratch and to order back there, explains some of the wait, and certainly makes it tolerable.
The place is awesome. The staff are amazing. Great food and customer service. Understanding about allergies. Always good conversation. Don't have to wait long to be waited on. Overall just a awesome place with awesome people. And the prices are very cheap and you get a lot of food for you're money. The fish and meatloaf is to die for.
This is the "Cheers" of hole in the wall diners. Food is good and reasonably priced, atmosphere is "neighborhood" and everyone knows everyone else.
People there are great! Very friendly and communicative. Food is delicious.
This was the first time there and waitress was very rude and nasty to us and we waited for 1 hour and when we asked about our food she stated that we were the last ones to order but others that came in after us got their food and then she yelled at my daughter and told her to stop looking at her and told the cook she was not going to wait on us and stated that we would have to wait longer because we asked about our food worst place ever to go
Nice people, great food! Open at 6am!?
Classic definition of a good ole hometown diner, the sausage breakfast sandwiches are where its at!!
Old fashioned neighborhood restaurant. Good food, good prices, homey atmosphere, and friendly people. Definitely picked the right restaurant to go to. Even had gluten-free options!
I ordered takeout from here for the first time today. It exceeded my expectations. I got the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, and collard greens. I was not prepared to fall in love with the fried chicken but it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy
Tony is a great man. Always smiling and in a great mood. They have the largest cold drink selection in the area that ive seen. The homemade banana muffins at the counter are amazing. The store is well stocked. The staff are always polite and welcomin
Extremely pleased with the water feature and the entire process. Ed and his team were excellent to deal with from start to finish. They did what they said they would - from quote to final project completion and executed an excellent design vision. Hi
I use to live across the street. Now I'm an hour away. I never leave town without stopping there and bringing hotdogs with the works home! I also bring a cooler to keep them hot on the trip back! I use to also get char broiled cheeseburgers smothere
