Billie Jean King Main Library - Library in Long Beach - 200 W Broadway, USA

Large beautiful library. They also gave me parking validation for the West Broadway Parking Garage. The only issue is that there is a huge homeless presence. I didn’t encounter any issues with them besides the smell.

This library in Long Beach is big and nice. The people who work there are friendly. You can find good places to sit and do stuff. It's good for reading books and learning stuff. They help you with a smile. It's a fun place to go and learn new things. Bring the kids, they have a great children section with tons of books for them to keep busy.

I went to drop off books 📚 my grandson read the past week and do some work. The library itself, is huge, clean, spacious, and accommodating. Unfortunately, if you're not from the area "free parking" can be hard to find. However, the library validates parking $2.00 for 3 hrs.😊

Library is stunning full of great material and books. I just a big shame they allow homeless stay around It feels insecure for kids and actually I’ve noticed people is not brining kids to the park like before. I respect homeless I just don’t respect the idea they do drugs and smoke around of a family and kid place and police don’t do anything this should feel a safe place however it feels it’s not the best place to walk around with kids anymore. Please you should do something!

We went to the library for the first time today and it was awesome. Beautifully remodeled and very high tech. I was a little skeptical at first because there were a lot of homeless people around the entrance and I was there with my 18 month old son but everyone we encountered was nice including the friendly security guard who welcomed us in. We attended the morning toddler time which was just awesome. Best of any Long Beach Library story times I have taken my son to. The children’s area was clean, fun, and the program was full of singing and moving. Loved it and we will definitely be coming back.

Homeless are everywhere inside. Horrible smell. And insecure for kids and adults. Securitys let all homeless inside and outside and we can notbuse tge computers vecause all are full of homeless. They need to fix that. We can not even read a book safe? Or use computers safe in peace.

Please fix the homeless issue! That’s all the real issue is with this library. It’s in a great location, super nice inside, and yet the amount of homeless who smell, are a disturbance of the peace, and are just waiting to pick a fight or bother is immensely important to point out! The poor staff have had to close twice bc they can’t deal with it and the police do nothing but ignore the situation. I’ve seen smaller library branches in Compton handle the homeless situation so why can’t this one that is right next to the police and city hall buildings?

Amazing new place, plenty of books, play area/educational area for kids. The murals where kids can play and learn are amazing. If you are into technology check the second floor for the 3D printers, laser cutter and audio video studio.
