Big Spring Inn Madisonville - Featured Reviews (247)
My son and I have been traveling halfway across the country, and we have stopped at many hotels along the way. If they could have all been like Big Spring Inn, the trip would have been even better. It is located right off the highway and nearby everything you need, plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and even a major grocery store just another exit up the road. In fact the hill it is on is beautiful and provides a great view. It's quiet and private, but still feels safe. The room itself was great. Clean, spacious, and complete with TV and plenty of channels, large fridge/freezer combo, and large and comfortable bed. You can see that it has been updated recently, everything looks modern and not aged. The bathroom is very clean and the water pressure is excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We left to take care of business during the day and came back to a clean, tidied up room. Last but not least, the price was unbeatable. Along the trip, I paid over 50% more for an itchy bed in a seedy part of downtown in a big city, and twice as much for an admittedly nice room somewhere else that I only used for a quick overnight sleep. My stay is 3 nights in total and I may in fact need another night to take care of my business here in town. If I return one day, I'm staying here without a doubt. Highly recommend Big Spring Inn.
TL;DR Worth the money but don't expect the Hilton All in all this is a very good mom and pop roadside motel. The rooms have been renovated within the past few years, cleanliness is good if not great, everything functions, and nothing is noisy. The mattress is thin and soft but still comfortable to me, and I prefer a firm mattress. I have sciatica and it didn't bother that. It was actually very comfortable despite being thin. I could hear my neighbors either in their room or outside last night I'm not sure which, but it was quiet overnight. The toilet of the bathroom flushed like it should, and did not continue running. The tub drained normally and water pressure in the shower was okay. Not great but not lacking. The only issue was the shower head comes out of the wall at about the 5 ft mark, so you've got to bend down or shower sitting down if you're over 6 ft like me. That's really the only criticism I have about the whole place. Check in with friendly, parking was easy, I would come again.
This hotel is definitely older, but very clean! Some of the furnishings are outdated, but still in good condition. Priced exactly right for the accommodations. Don’t come here if u want fancy! No landscaping, continental breakfast, nothing extra. Just a good sized clean room. If the main thing u care about is cleanliness this is the place. I will say their towels & washcloths r very rough. So we just bought our own.
This is literally the best hotel we have stayed at!!! The price is great, rooms are so clean and the service is impeccable. They clean our room everyday make our bed and give fresh towels and they also will do your laundry for an affordable price!! Owners are super friendly and they allow pets!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!
I’ve stayed here at the Big Spring Inn in Madisonville several times now (it’s in a very central location near where I often work/play in Kentucky). Offering up 5 Stars because for this particular rating - it’s not just about the rooms (well appointed and comfortable), or the service (excellent always), or the location (right off of the main interstate exchange and conveniently located near several restaurants and shopping… This 5 Star review is because of the owners… wonderful people who genuinely care about the property and the people staying here. I’ll be back - and if you’re looking for a pet friendly location to rest your head, give this place a try!
Close to where we needed to be, and cost was quite inexpensive. Unfortunately, the quality matches the cost... Low. Nearly a 1-in gap at the bottom of the entry door, room lights are almost utility like, and just didn't seem well cared for at all. Staff was friendly. I imagine it's right for workers staying for a couple of weeks and need a cheap place to stay. Not a luxury place at all.
The rooms are super clean and spacious. The shower is absolutely amazing. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is housekeeping could come more often, but it was not a big deal. Would stay again happily.
I was hoping, due to some reviews this place would have been better. I had read rooms were updated. Ours wasn't. I guess you get what you pay for. What saves this from a 2 star review is the bed was "OK". Room didn't smell. And it had hot water. Other than that, the room seriously need just a little love.

The hotel entrance was open and bright. Staff were polite and friendly. The beds were really comfy (Hampton Inn ð ) and the bathroom was spacious. The best part imo were the blackout blinds. Once you close them, hardly any light at all peeks in

We stayed here while in town for the funeral of a family member for a week. The rooms are ok, but not ideal for long term stays. The bathroom is roomy and the shower is nice. Most importantly I want to leave this review for Carolynn, the breakfast a

Super park for walking or letting your dogs play in the large enclosed areas, one area is for small dogs and one for large and small. The park itself is gorgeous with one of the best disc golf courses anywhere. The trails are well maintained and be
They bring in some pretty good entertainment acts for a small town!! I was impressed. CC & the Music Factory was such a great walk down memory lane. Only bummed the rain cut their show short.
Such a cute place! Loved it. The family-friendly atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and inviting. The pizza? OUTSTANDING! Truly, some of the best homemade pizza Iâve ever had; priced fairly as well. The taco pizza is their âclaim to fameâ and it
Had a delicious dinner here. I got the veggie fajitas and it was very yummy! I really liked the fact that they give plenty of mushroom since most places skimp out and it's my fav part. I also tried the quesadilla and it was good as well. Got the flan
