This was our second stay here. What a gem. Clean & very comfortable. Will definitely be back. The owner, Elaine is very nice!
We were looking for a nice quiet campground near Wabasha for a family visit and Big River Resort was the perfect find. I talked to Elaine on the phone and told her we were looking for a quiet, private site and she exceeded our expectations, even upgrading us to a more private site when we arrived due to some last minute changes. This place is a gem with manicured lawns and some nice shade trees. The location is excellent, being on the edge of Wabasha. We were able to get a great night's rest and really enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting outdoors in a beautiful part of Minnesota.
We stayed here in ou43 foot class A. Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Close to town, but not in it. My only negative it that there are tree limbs over the driveways that need trimming. No one likes to scratch up their RV.
Awesome campground with well manicured level lots! Easy in and out. Gorgeous bathrooms and laundry facilities. Elaine is very friendly and helpful. This is our go to campground when we are in the area. This is our third stay here.
Such a cute place. Elaine and Tom were very nice. Rooms were small but pretty much expected. Everything was clean and perfect for our stay. The only complaint I have is that I think the mattresses need to be turned? The one side of the one bed my hubs and I slept in was slightly higher on one side than the other. Silly, I know. But comfortable otherwise! Thanks for the great stay! Will be back.
Our social group of 12 gals stayed for a weekend getaway in summer of 2022. We rented all 9 motel rooms and also the community room. The community room has a kitchen and one wall that opens up with a screen option. We enjoyed morning breakfast together with a lovely view of the bluffs. The owner Elaine was wonderful to work with. I recommend this place for ladies group vacations. It is on the south side of town, easy to get to all our activities, kayaking, hiking, river pontoon ride, eagle center, restaurants etc.
We stayed here the weekend of April 29-1May, 2022 and it was PERFECT for us. Great launching off point to explore all the river towns. The campground was super clean, extremely well manicured, and exceptionally clean shower/bath house. Elaine was a delight at check-in with sheets of local information and travel booklet's of the local areas. Bonus is the campground has great access to the local walking path that is flat and level, making for a great after dinner walk! The road is extremely quiet. We travel in a 40' class A diesel and had no issue with maneuvering in/out of campsite/ground. Would highly recommend using this campground if you are wanting to explore all the local towns or just need a quiet weekend to unwind sitting outside your rig with a fire!
Our ladies social group of 12 stayed here on a summer weekend and reserved all 9 motel rooms and the community room. It is a wonderful small women/family owned motel. Well cared for. Elaine the owner was very helpful with everything. Each motel room has a mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker. We rented the community room and had our group breakfasts there together. It has small kitchen along one wall and one end opens up like a garage door with a pull down screen to keep the bugs out. This room has a lovely view of the bluffs which we enjoyed with our morning coffee together. The resort is at the south end of town and was very easy for us to get to all our activities, kayaking, a pontoon ride, hiking, visiting the eagle center, restaurants etc. Behind the resort are large RV sites but hardly anyone came and went. It was super quiet. There is a fire ring on the front lawn for motel guests to enjoy. Firewood is sold in the front office. We had a bonfire one night and got rained out the 2nd night. This is a great spot for gal getaways.

We've been a big fan of Hoppy Girl Brewery but recently had the opportunity to stay at Turning Waters. Such a diamond in the ruff! Turning Waters offers an unique stay experience that is what the the original B&B was made of. A warm welcoming home l

Great place to stop in the shores of the Mississippi in historic City of Wabasha. There's a beach, little walking path and nice, more natural playground with rocks that is great for climbing and jumping.
We were at Lark Toys celebrating a birthday party and the birthday boy wanted to bowl. We typed in bowling into Google Maps and here we are. Overall it was a great experience. The lanes were were in great shape and meticulously being cared for w

The restaurant was great. Service was asking great. If you are a fan of Grumpy Old Men and are in the area, I would take the trip. Now the down side which is no fault of the restaurant or town. The actual bar used as Slipperyâs tavern in the movie
