JJ’s was an on the road stop that did not disappoint. The catfish was lightly battered and perfectly fried as grandma used to fry hers. The fries were the best I have ever eaten. Large portions. Everything was scrumptious! *Note, it’s the perfect hole in the wall local place that only does carry out. Worth the stop!

A very solid spot to grab a nice meal. I love the whole and Buffalo wings. By surprise, their fries are absolutely phenomenal. Everytime I have gone here, my friends and I have been very satisfied. This is definitely a place worth every dollar.

First time visiting and if I'm ever in the area again I'd come back! The traffic in and out was a good sign it was popular and the man at the register seemed personal like he knew people. Again it was good food and the seasoning was on point!

My wife and I eat here when we are in the mood for fish or chicken and it’s great everytime. Tender, generous portion for a great price and delicious everything. Funny thing is my wife always craves it when’s she’s pregnant.

Some of the best fish I've ever had! Had the mixed combo, cat fish and walleye were perfectly cooked, flaky no grease and crispy thin coating. Wings and hush puppies were cooked perfect too all served with a huge portion of fries. Not sure what extra they add to the slaw too but it was great. I will be back every time im back in the area!

This used to be our favorite fish and chicken place this time will most likely be the last. I got 1 piece of ocean perch, 1 piece of chicken and a side of coleslaw. The first bite of chicken was so salty I couldn't eat it, the fish was just as salty but I was hungry so I choked it down. The coleslaw was so acidic that between it and the saltiness of the fish it was burning my tongue. My husband got a three piece mixed chicken dinner the drumstick was so small it could have pasted for wing he could only eat 1 piece of his chicken because it was so salty and only ate a few of the soggy fries. Neither one of us were very impressed. We had to explain my order 3x to the girl taking our order and she stop in the middle of taking our order to give some other customer their food that just walked right up to the counter and cut in

Food is really decent but the weird vibes the women give in reference to customer service is very stand-off ish!

They have the best chicken in Champaign, but I learned yesterday, don't eat the cake. I like my wings hard fried, but however you get them, they will still be juicy and well seasoned.
