Beautiful hike, Normally the creek is dry and there is no water at the Waterfall, but this year it was still plenty water and snow cave in the middle of the summer. You can do traditional hiking or you can do rappelling down the Waterfall, like I did with my group. The water was freezing though.

A beautiful hike to the left of Mary Jane.. Approx 5 miles round trip. Pull past the first parking lo further down the dirt road to the the rear lot or You Will walk an extra mile total.. Both trails have very little water or trickle in effect after July 1st, however the hike is still incredible with multiple paths, high & low. Half way there one has to follow the wash up the next leg then up & over the end of the wash back to the falls. A very beautiful hike full of many types of terrain, mountains, river boulder s, plenty of trees and as you ascend even Bristlecone pines! Sadly the whole mountain was flooded by tripical Storm Hillary so it wil be awhile til we can all enjoy again. I went 2 days before the storm, im sure many trails in the spring mountains will be quite different after this.. Please hike out whatever trash you take in!

Big Falls never fails to please during the hot season, start extremely early @7 am to get good parking. If you have the climbing skills, you can climb above it to the left and hike another 2 mile to see the one and only Las Vegas Ice Cave!

Not a hike I would recommend for a beginner. The trail involves some novie navigational skills as the trail isn't clearly marked in many spots. There is some exposure depending on the route you take. As of 7/6/23, there is still a bed of ice at the base of the waterfall with running water flowing underneath. Thos presents a danger as the ice isn't secure and can crack. Use the buddy system when possible in case someone falls through. I'd say about a week or two before some of the openings are more visible. Fun hike for my moderate and advance hikers. :^)

Nice hike. 4 miles out and back. Trails in the beginning then some rock scrambling til the end. No falls at this time of the year. I am not sure how it is in the summer.

This was a great hike for me and the wife. She’s a little uncoordinated and typically runs into walls in the house for no reason but she made it up to the top with no problem.

This is an amazing hike. The views are stunning on this hike, especially at the top. The hike itself isn’t too long, although there is lots of elevation gain. If it is hot in Las Vegas, it will be cooler here. There are also a few very big pine tre

NOT an Easy trail for beginners, more of moderate to hard so be warned! 🤣 We travel because we'd rather look back at life saying "I can't believe I did that..." instead of "If only I had". 🎈Mary Jane Falls Trail •Temp @ 76° •Elevation 7,70

We initially booked a third floor room with a balcony, as we were so excited to be in the mountains with a balcony! When we arrived, I asked the front desk clerk if the hotel had an elevator and was surprised to find out they did not. To be fair, t
