Before my visit here, I hadn't been to a Big Boy since the late '80's. This visit really took me back to when I went to Big Boy with my grandparents as a teenager. 😊 I came here this time with a dear friend of mine that I hadn't seen since 1987. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was nice and clean, and the food was amazing! I got the Mushroom Swiss Scrambler, and my friend got The Works. They didn't get her order totally right the first time, but we sent it back, and they fixed it! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I would gladly come back here! And I highly recommend it! 😊
We stopped in for the car show on Wednesday night, which was great. We got a hot fudge ice cream cake to go. The service was really good and the hot fudge ice cream cake was super yummy.
Big Boy is always my first choice for restaurants if I see one in the area. We came in shortly before closing and thought that the staff would be upset, but it was quite the opposite situation. Our server Randy was the friendliest waiter that we have ever had at a restaurant. He was really on the ball and treated us like we were his only customers. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the experience of eating at this particular Big Boy. I had to order my usual, a super Big Boy sandwhich with fries, made Ohio style, with their tater sauce instead of the orange Big Boy sauce that Michigan puts on their Big Boys. I even bought a bottle of tarter sauce to take home, but I could never replicate the real thing at home. Coming back to this establishment will be a must for us. Hopefully, Randy is working that day!
Great staff, our waiter even wrote a book and had it on display there. I love to support local talent, so I bought a copy, and I am looking forward to reading it. I had the Slim Jim for the first time, and I really liked it, I didn't want anything too heavy, but the warm cheese and meat and slightly toasted bun was a perfect combination. Would definitely get again.
Very nice people. 5 star on the quality of the big boy food, and tentatively serving busy dining room. It Was taken over a few years back by a gentlemen and his wife who both work very hard there. They both seem to take pride. It still has that greasy spoon look inside like an old big boy but not like disgusting Just an old big boy like you’re in Detroit. However, being independent, their food seems so much better than other big boys. I really love the Fish & Chips and Shakes. Give them a try. Way better than other Big Boys I have visited. Thanks guys keep it up!
We finally went back to Big boy and tried breakfast again. They finally found a great cook. My hash browns were perfect and so was the rest of my breakfast. Way to go Big Boy!
Upon entering we were given a choice of where we wanted to sit. We sat in the little brick room, a semi private seating area enclosed with large windows. Our waitress took our drink orders, came right back with our ice waters and was then ready to take our dinner order. About fifteen minutes after ordering, our food was brought out. Everything was hot/warm, just like we ordered, and tasted delicious! Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive enough without being overly aggressive. Restaurant was clean and quiet. Not very busy, maybe eight or twelve other people, tops.
Wonderful service and the best breakfast around. Staff is always friendly. Potato pancakes are delicious. My wife loves the whole grain and pumpkin pancakes. Never disappointed with the food or service here.
My sons and I stopped in for much after an amazing time at Axis Golf down the road. We ordered a cowboy burger, which is beef patty, barbecue sauce, onion rings, bacon and cheddar cheese. I had the olive burger with bacon, both burgers came with pret
