We were delighted to enjoy beer flights, nachos, and wings with our family. Everyone at the brewery was friendly. The food came quickly, which is great with little kids. We enjoyed every beer we tried! We will definitely be back the next time we visit!

This is the third time I’ve stopped in and I always love the atmosphere! The staff is super friendly and the drinks are good! I’m not a beer drinker and I love that they have other options! I got the cherry almond smoothie sour and the raspberry creamsicle seltzer and they were so good! The smoothie is kind of filling too!

Like stout beer had chocolate oatmeal stout it was good Would have given better rating but there were fruit flys buzzing around taps. Told bar tender about it. He said he knows and they have tried everything to get rid of them. Ordered appetizer when sitting at bar. Could see in kitchen and could see kitchen worker. He continually touched his face and facial hair while preparing my appetizer. He wasn’t wearing protective gloves.

Our experience at Big Axe for the first time. First off the place was dirty inside and outside, the menus were dirty and looked as though they had never been wiped off. The beer was good, the service was okay we only had cheese curds which were good. Then to top it off at check out time they add a 5% surcharge for their employees, then they ask for tip/donation for the cook and then they ask for the tip. Shouldn’t one tip be enough to split among all employees…. I don’t like getting nickel and dimed on tips. If the place is clean, service is good and food and drinks are good I’m very generous with my tips. In my opinion the owner may not be paying their employees enough for what they do. Owner looks to the patrons to donate money to make up for short wages.. Needless to say we won’t be back. Dennis

We love the beer and food at Big Axe Brewing. We enjoyed the Betty Salad with trout, the chicken melt and chicken wild rice soup; all equally delicious!! The back room is perfect for a quiet dinner and games with a loved one!

Burger $14.00 w/fries add $3.00 add beer +$7 Food is good. Vegetarian option-wonderful! Ask for vegi burger to be cooked all the way- or it will come out undercooked mush. Fries are hot and fresh! Beer good! Dogs welcome 🤗 🐕 Self serve mostly, they still ask for a tip...twice First for the service ( remember it self serve) And again for the cook....(I guess they need tips too!) Their prices suggest the staff gets paid plenty. If they don't it's not because they aren't charging customers enough. Overall, worth the stop! Location is great and they aften have music! Step up your customer service and stop asking for tips and I think you got a good thing going! People will tip when they are impressed with what you got! Stop begging folks!

Fun little brewery in downtown Nisswa. Service was a bit slow but it was very early in the day. (Took over 5 minutes for the bartender to make a flight for the folks in front of me). Id be worried if they are that slow at peak times. Otherwise the beer is pretty good and good outdoor seating. Beer options could be a bit more varied. Did not try the food.

Always a nice little spot to stop and grab a fresh pint of dankness. These guys make IPA's with big bold hops, and fresh fruity finish and Vapor Lake is no exception. Smells like crushed barley, but the taste hits the sides of your tongue and let's that bitter hoppy resinous stank saturate your salivary glands. It has a more than hazy look in the glass, and never settles. That means it keeps all that delicious stankness in the beer 🍺 😋.
