Big 5 Sporting Goods - Sporting goods store in Burien - 125 SW 148th St, USA

Came looking for soccer gear for my kid with my elderly mom. She asked to use the bathroom and they turned her away, said they have no public bathrooms but she's free to use the facilities at the Asian mart next door. I can't describe how stressful it was to get her the help she needed, but she uses a cane to walk. Come back 30 minutes or so later to make my purchase, item in hand and witness the sales rep let a mom and her kid use their facilities no questions asked - she didn't even buy anything. How they treated my mom hurt, and the last thing that was said to me was, "cash or credit?" I am NEVER coming back here.

Great price on womens shoes and even have a "D" size. AWESOME! Cashier super friendly!

This place used to be amazing. Wow has it gone down hill. The last 3 times I was in they didn't have any of the discount prices on any of the knives or most other items. The price stickers just sit on the counter all week until they all expire! Only the managers seem to know where anything is so really bad training. Employees seem to have a bad attitude and don't want to be there. While I was there a guy stole merchandise because they know the customer service sucks here. The last straw for me was when they wouldn't let me use more than one item coupon. Why put out 20 items on coupon if you can only buy one item? After years of spending lots of money there I am done with them for good. The shoes that I was about to purchase even fit nice. I'd rather pay more somewhere else than ever give a dime to this place again. I noticed other customers waiting for 25 min for help also.

Both of the guys working were helpful and had relevant product information for the items I was looking for. THE REASON FOR THE 3 STARS: They have been unable to sell any BB Pistols for over 2 weeks now, due to a break in. I just think that it shouldn’t take that long to get that department up and running again.

Big 5 has always been my favorite Sporting Goods store. While their stores aren't as big as the larger chains, they always have what I'm looking for, and it always feels like home. The cashiers always acknowledge me when I enter and when I depart. Their customer service is heads above the others.

Nora (Rep) was great providing attention and care to my Special Needs Son while he was purchasing a "Camouflage Back Pack". This company should be proud of having employees like her, who do all and more to Customer satisfaction. Big 5 should consider Nora for their next Employees promotions. Again, THANK YOU - Nora..!!!

Went in to purchase a metal detector but was indecisive on which one to purchase. The store manager saw I was looking like I had questions in mind and came to offer some help answering some of my questions and he was very polite and knowledgeable. After I made my decision and went to the cashier with the product he saw my dog tags on my neck and told me If I show my military I.D. I get 15% off besides the coupon I had for $40 off any purchase total off $100. I thought that's great this company still gives an additional discount on top of coupons when other stores only do coupons or 10% military discount.

Why Big 5 why! I'm done shopping with Big 5 for a while and the service I've received sucked bad. The employee seems to hate his job to the extent he has to talk to you like you insulted him. If you shop at this big 5 you might have to talk to them ignorantly, but who wants to do that! Service isn't apparently important to this store. Customers beware of insensitive employees that could care less if you shopped there. I'll miss you big 5 for all the good memories with the kind people that made it a go to spot.
