I went early and the establishment was empty with 1 customer or 2. The wait staff ,Yazzy was Great. I was disappointed to have waited 25+minutes for breakfast, only to find a piece of hair on my eggs🤢😡. That was such a turn off, because I was feeling the ambiance with good vibes and music. Another thing was, some white folks sat and did not have to wait for their meals like we did. 🤔What the hell!!! The wait staff apologized and did not charge us for the meal with the hair. Sad, a nice place, however, you can't afford to be negligent in the kitchen. Wish you success, but they need to speed it up and have the kitchen staff cover their hairs.

We had a really scrummy breakfast at Beyu Cafe!! I had the Chicken and Toast and my husband had the Breakfast Burrito; both were really tasty and items we’d order again!! A surprise treat that we also got was Mexican Coffee which was coffee with cinnamon, nutmeg and chocolate. It was delicious too. It’s also available as a latte. The servers were really friendly and they worked as a team to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I really like this in a restaurant. We will definitely be back to this restaurant the next time we’re in Durham. The other things I’d like to mention about this restaurant in case it’s important to someone reading this review is that we thought the music was a bit too loud and this is not a restaurant we’d come to if we were in a hurry. Food service seemed to be consistent with items being made to order.

Cool brunch spot in Durham. Very long wait when I came in on a Saturday morning, about an hour, but it evened out because the bacon egg and cheese sandwich, fresh fruit, home fries, and Oprah mocha were all delicious. Service was good, all staff was very polite. Vibe was also great and I loved the music that they played.

It don’t matter if you live in NC or in Cali! You better make sure to come here and when you do ask for JAZZY or Jazz! You won’t be disappointed! I got the chicken wings (sweet and spicy sauce) and the turtle mocha extra sweet! So good y’all I ate everything to the bone okay!

Initial impression when we walked in was that it has a good vibe. The hostess seemed put out to have to seat us. The young man who waited on us was very friendly but it seemed like he was spread really thin while others were standing around. My coffee was very good but not hot. I asked for a warm up and got more like warm coffee. My husband's decaf took a very long time to come. My veggie omelette was delicious but I had to go get my silverware, and again, a lot of standing around seemingly unaware. No one offered to refill coffee and asked how our food was. This place has so much potential but not unless service improves.

This is a gem of a Downtown Durham eatery. I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the food quality and options. I'm a foodie and found the location's shrimp and grits entree to be the best presentation of the concept in comparison to other places I've tried with similar offerings. The Baddie Burger is also good. The varied list of flavored and chocolate-infused lattes and espressos is divine. I also enjoyed the friendliness and professionalism of the manager and most of the location's wait staff. The servers are patient and personable even with newbies who aren't familiar with the eatery's interior table seating areas and menu items. Customers are allowed time to enjoy the eatery's ambiance without feeling unnecessarily rushed or made to leave. This customer service approach made it easy for me to want to leave the serving staff a generous tip. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice breakfast/lunch/afternoon hangout option downtown. Just make sure to check the open hours before heading to the location. I know more than a few people who have had their hearts broken when they raced to the restaurant only to find it "Closed."

On a scale from 1 to 5....I'll give this place a 4. Great service and food. The grits were super smooth. The sausage and shrimp where cooked and seasoned just right. The French toast and chicken wings where very tasty as well. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

This is a really nice spot. It is really nice on the inside and has a chill vibe and cool music. The food was good but it took a long time to come out. I had the meat lovers omelette with a side of smoked sausage. Also the staff was a little nonchalant and did not smile. Overall I like this place but I feel that if the staff was a little friendlier and more engaging it would take the experience to the next level. They definitely have huge potential and I would like to see them be successful.
