I just had an awful experience with a black bald man who I’m assuming is a manager. I am a nurse and just got off of work and he feels the need to raise his voice at me repeatedly. I did not have my I.D. I asked the cashier if a picture of my I.D or passport would be ok since I accidentally left my purse at home today. Then this man starts getting in my face. I respect and understand the need to have my license in hand since that’s their policy ( this was my first and last time going here), which I tried explaining. I am 40 yrs old, I’ve been able to show a picture of my I.D at other places no problem. He could have just calmly said no. I am 100% ok with that! No need to raise your voice with me. He needs to learn better customer service or find a job where he doesn’t need to interact with people. What a great way to end the day….
Would like to just say I understand people have bad days and are not always enthusiastic about work but the Cashier (Bald Black Man) working around 4:30pm, was extremely rude, unpleasant, condescending, and vile. The other crew memebers on the floor were very helpful and nice so I was not expecting to be disrespected by the Cashier for a 2 minute interaction. I bypassed the guy not speaking when I approached the counter with my items, that's one thing but to be blantantly rude when I politley asked a question about the price is another. His behavior was unacceptable and he should not work with the public.
This Bevmo in Orinda, conveniently located beside an exit from Hwy 24 East, is almost never busy. Your biggest challenge will be finding a parking space in front, but usually one or two are available. Service inside is friendly and helpful. They seem to go through a lot of new staff so sometimes I know where things are better than they do. But it’s not a big deal. Only rarely are they out of stock of the things I want, and because they never seem to be busy, my wait time at checkout is never longer than a couple of minutes. Recommended.
I called to check on an item that showed it was available online, before going to the store. For some reason Hugh could not help me and told me to just come in the store. I told him I lived 30 miles away and did not want to drive there to find out that it’s unavailable. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just call another team member to check on the item for me.
The staff at the Orinda BEVMO are very polite and helpful. On the rare occasion that they don't have what I'm looking for they are quick with alternative choices of a similar nature.
Came to pickup my online order (between 12:30 -1:30pm) which was placed couple days prior. I was 9mins passed my window time was told that they were closed for lunch and to return at 2:30pm. Had lunch in the area and returned at around 2:30. Only 1 cashier present with a long line. Waited 5min at the pickup area with no assistance. Found a guy at the back who agreed to assist. Waited another 5min cuz he couldn't find my order so he ended up grabbing my order from the aisle shelf, bagged it, apologized for the wait then I left. The Orinda store is clearly under staffed 😒
5 star rating for performing its very important role and as a vendor of alcohol very well, huge selection, good prices, good service, who can argue with a warehouse full of drinks?
We are regular customers of Orinda BevMo and are very pleased when shopping in the store. However, DON’T even think about using their online delivery service. We’ve tried three times and every attempt was a failure on their part with the exact same problem. The form states your address is not in their delivery area (we live a mile away). The customer service rep instructed me to just check the box for pickup but remark in the comments section you want delivery. After waiting the estimated two hours, we got a notice our order was ready for pickup. I called to ask why it wasn’t being delivered and the rep said ‘they would need to start all over again and delivery would be 3-4 hours out’. I asked to speak to CS manager and she said she was the manager that morning. I cancelled the order and expressed my disappointment in Orinda BevMo’s customer service and lack of interest in resolving its delivery process and service despite repeated feedback.
Hanazen oferred some of the most delicious fish and housemade seasonings I have ever tasted. The service was incredible and the food was beyond memorable. Be sure to call and make a reservation for a meal you won't soon forget.
I am short of words to describe the experience. I would say it brings out the kid inside me. Lovely place for kids and adults alike if you're into little toy steam trains. There's something about it that makes you happy. I wouldn't be overstating it
We have been going to Cal Shakes productions since we were just college kids. It is a lot of fun! We always get there at 6pm, grab a picnic table, and eat a wonderful potluck. For a while we got super fancy and once even brought a fancy candlestic
Trail with some elevation gain. Hiking towards the peak gives you some beautiful views of the bay area. Not all trail is shaded so wear a cap or hat if you can. It was not busy on a Friday evening.
A jewel of a performance location. We attended the first annual Bluegrass festival in early August. Although billed as 3 hours, it was an 8 hour band-filled jam. Topped off with a swirling pink and magenta sunset behind the stage, silhouetted by the
Great scenic place for a walking hike. Trail is easy - most of it is paved and relatively flat. But, on a clear day you have a great view of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and much of the bay. Trail is dog friendly. As a side note, if you wa
We went here for our holiday dinner. The ambience was cozy and I loved the high booths for great privacy. The staff was helpful with answering questions. We ordered Chicken tikka sizzler, chicken korma, dal makhani and Shaba special naan. You can ask
Cute and cozy place. Neatly maintained. Great menu options. The taste is amazing, kids loved the place. Great service. Loved the bhel puri and bhel puri. Even the chai is perfect. I really hope they continue maintaining the quality and standard.
It's a miracle this place has survived - only through the active efforts of the community and the interest in the histori Art Deco character. Places like this are important to frequent and support. You'll never know how long they'll be around. There
