I had an amazing time at the Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott. I’ve always wanted to stay at this property, so I chose MLK weekend to go and celebrate my 13th anniversary with Marriott International. The staff went above and beyond I wasn’t expecting it, but they sure made it happen. Janis was so kind to upgrade me to an Oceanview Studio 2 queens facing the beach when I called in to see if it was possible I know being an associate we may not always get the room type we want but they were able to honor it for me and I was so thankful for it. Janis was such a delight to talk to when I saw her on Saturday, she knows the Delaware area very well and gave my friend and me great recommendations for restaurants to try. She even gave me a bottle of wine to celebrate my anniversary she’s so amazing and I hope to see her again when I revisit next year. Michael was great at check-in very professional and explained all the amenities the hotel had to offer. Peyton, the front office manager, was also great, giving me recommendations on where to eat and always smiling whenever I saw him. Tony was great to chat with as well at the end of my stay I thanked him for upgrading me to the Oceanview Room of the hotel I know they didn’t have to do it but I was truly grateful and I enjoyed the story of his journey in the hospitality industry. Kathy was amazing at the checkout and everyone else from the restaurant and breakfast was great as well. I highly recommend staying at this hotel not just for the location but the staff as that’s a make it or break it for me. Thank you Residence Inn Bethany Beach for an amazing stay. ||Donnell

The hotel was really nice. Clean and comfortable. The rooms are very well equipped and location is great. However, for the rooms that are "beach front" on the first floor is a waste of money, the grass is too grown and you can’t see the beach/water, all you see is the high grass. Also, they charge. $150 pet fee per dog. I get it … I just wish they were upfront with it when you book your stay or at least give you the option when you are selecting the amount of rooms and guests, etc. It would be hice to know amount upfront not until you check in. Even though there is a $150 per fee there are no items for dogs in the rooms. Not even a little bed, or bowl or something. They have nothing for your pet which honestly was disappointing since they advertise how. “Pet friendly” they are and charge you $150. There is no carpet, or really anything that a small dog can destroy so the high pet fee is unreasonable and unjustifiable . I like the location of the hotel and the easy access to the beach. If you do better with your pet policy I might come back.

This location is amazing and the ocean front views second to none however the room was in need of a deep clean. It was modern, attractive and in decent shape especially for a busy beach hotel but the cabinets, doors and most especially the floors were dirty, not sandy but grimy. Sheets, towels and beds were great. The Scrub Mommy sponge was awesome. We loved the Starbucks coffee in the lobby and that it is a dog friendly hotel. We will be back but it would be nice if I didn't have to spend as much time cleaning the suite upon arrival.

BB Ocean Suites was the perfect place to stay in the early weeks of September. We stayed in the building next to the main building. It was quiet and the third floor balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean, shore and boardwalk. Our room was newly renovated. Every worker was kind and helpful. There was a new kitchenette that was stocked if we wanted to cook or prep any food. Each morning we went down to the main lobby for a warm breakfast buffet. It wasn’t exactly a luxury buffet with warm waffles or pancakes, but there was a choice of eggs, potatoes and some sort of bacon or sausage. It was more than adequate. The rooftop pool was a relaxing way to end a day at the beach. I wish the sliding roof would open a little more so the pool could get direct sun, but it was clean and nice. I’d say my favorite part of the BB ocean suite vacation would have to be that we pulled into the parking garage at the beginning of the week and didn’t have to get back in our car until we left at the end of the week. Everything we needed was right at the Marriott or along the boardwalk.

Just returned from a king weekend in BB. I’ll start out with the positives. The location of this hotel is perfection. Our suite was large. Just off the main square, above the boardwalk, and with the most beautiful, ocean front views from your own balcony. That said, I recommend upgrading for a higher floor if you’re choosing ocean front, to avoid boardwalk noise. But since we paid such a high premium for this beautifully located oceanfront hotel, I also had some higher expectations. While the shower pressure was terrific, it was offset by the abundance of mold in the shower. They were flickering lights, and white dog hair everywhere. The dog hair was especially prevalent on the entire balcony, where it was joined by several used Band-Aids. Come on, cleaning staff! They did have complementary breakfast, but it was certainly substandard. I consider Bethany Beach a great choice for young families. There’s little to no nightlife, and everything closes pretty early. So – does the view make up for the hotel”s shortcomings? Probably. But the problems I outlined are certainly fixable, I think they should be addressed to warrant the high nightly rates. We would stay here again, but I would check out the cleanliness of the room and ask to switch if it were like the one we just stayed in.

We booked a stay for 12/30-1/1 and won’t do it again. We have stayed here a couple times a year since 2020 but the last two times this year were a fail. They are currently having a NYE party outside at the end of the parking lot right where our room is and it’s scarring our dog and the music of course is so loud it’s shaking my bed. And it just seems to just be getting louder and louder. Had I known this before booking I wouldn’t have stayed here. I’m not sure who thought it was a good idea to have a block party in a tent outside instead of inside the hotel meeting space. Exhausted and can’t even sleep. Not to mention my room wasn’t what I paid for when I checked in. Fell in love with this place but it’s no longer a place to come and relax.

Mid September was a wonderful time to visit Bethany. It was quiet, restaurants were still open as were the fun shops. We were suppose to have an ocean view but it was obstructed by neighboring pine trees. That was disappointing. The room was nice after we had the saggy mattress replaced. The employees were pleasant and helpful.

Great ocean front hotel. Our place to go every year in january / february. Staff is very friendly and helpful from front desk , housekeeper and parking attendant. Thank you for a great stay and thank you for all you do.
