We are frequent travelers and have had our share of icky hotels. This hotel was very clean and up to date and it had a fresh clean smell. Lobby and breakfast area were quite nice. Check in was very quick and easy. Our room was set up well and the a/c was quiet and cool. The halls were quiet and beds were comfy so we slept well. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. All together we were very pleased. We will be back.
Overall, this location is a better deal than staying in Galveston Island. The overall cost is more conducive. The hotel could probably use an overhaul, but for the most part it is ok. They have dehumidifiers in the halls, but they were full the whole time we were here and basically pointless. The staff was nice as well. We will stay here again the next time we go on another cruise.
Upon arrival to the hotel, our rooms comforter was dirty and stained, we asked them to change it, and he was just going to change that but not the sheets that the comforter had been sitting on. He got kinda huffy when we asked him to change everything. Then the room wasn't super clean, especially the bathroom mold in places and paint falling off. Then, the complementary breakfast was laughable. We try to stay at best westerns everytime we travel, and this one was subpar, and not to mention, you can't take the breakfast upstairs. So if your kid is asleep, you can't take your breakfast back up to the room. we were going to get my breakfast, and then my husband was gonna go get his breakfast so we didn't have to wake our toddler up, but that wasn't allowed. So I had to eat alone and then my husband had to go eat his breakfast alone. The price is decent for the hotel but we would rather pay a little more to get a better hotel. That the paint isn't chipping or mold in the bathroom.
The hotel was fine to book last minute travel at a rate of below $70 per night. While the main hotel and pool area and room that we were in were maintained, the room was extremely humid due to what felt like slightly damp carpet. The air conditioner did not power up as much as we wished and we had issues getting the TV to work. Breakfast was fully stocked until 9:30, but not as hot as would feel safe for food, and like others have said, you are not allowed to take anything to eat in your room. The attendants working breakfast would stand around and check food levels but do not wipe tables in between guests. The positives were that they did have a good juice machine and it was well-stocked although some of the food was tired as if it was possibly there from a previous day, like the biscuits.||Overall to just use it as a quick crash pad it was suitable for the price, but we would probably book elsewhere in the future.
Was molding, the entire third floor smelled like mold and had visible mold. The room smelled like mold as well, would not recommend. The pool was green so we couldnt even swim, all of our clothes after leaving smell like mold. Would not stay here.
This place was perfect. Stayed here the day prior to my cruise. Location was 25 minutes from the port. Located right off of I45. Plenty of stores and restaurants in the vicinity. Well lit area. The room was roomy and clean. Very kind front desk staff. Will definitely stay here again on my next cruise.
We recently booked a room in advance through 3A at this hotel and our stay was about a week behind Alberto. We arrived on a Sunday evening with a mostly empty parking lot. The entryway was very nice and clean with a good looking staircase to the second floor and art on the walls which fits being in Texas. I noticed fans going behind the desk. We get checked in (having booked the room like 2 months ago, there was some confusion - didn't I pay for this already through the 3A place? No? Are you sure? Oh yeah, my bad, let's throw it on the card - then we went up the room passing a dehumidifier which was powered off. The room /looked/ very nice and clean but had a very musty smell and the carpet was damp. I went back down to see what could be done and I get it, Alberto. I was told that they were booked out so there's no more room and there's nobody to fix the situation. My wife's allergies were already kicking up and damp carpet... And musty smell... so we decided to stay elsewhere and I turned in the keys.. At which point I was told that they would only refund the cost of the room if I didn't sleep in it. OK. I just gave you the keys, I'm not sleeping here.
Reasonably, I believe the gal working the front desk was new and was the only staff onsite at the time. It's possible she wasn't aware of the condition of the room, I'll stretch that one to them. Overall she didn't seem to enjoy being there (and honestly, I may not have either).
We went down the road, found a person happy with life and a dry room.
Very poor attendance to us as we checked in. He was more interested in his music playing. Breakfast is lackluster at the most. Worse of all were the abundance of cockroaches in room. Not only in ours but the other family we traveled with also. Waking up to 3 cockroaches crawling on night stand between beds.
It was my first time here since my friend recommended their coffee. They have the friendliest staff and the place is very welcoming too. Will definitely go back!
Went in for the first time today as a "Silver Sneakers" member to see about joining the fitness center. My wife and I were met by a lovely receptionist named Bobby who was exceptionally helpful and had us signed up and on a tour of the facility in no
This place does not disappoint! My kids and I are beachcombers and had heard there were some nice pickings at the Dike. You do have to pay a $10 entrance fee, but it's worth it. There's plenty of piers to walk out on and fish, boat ramps to load and
Great relaxing park half a mile from Texas City Dike!!! Family friendly with plenty of bench seating. Fenced in playground thatâs in great condition and walking or biking trails. Lots of memorial pieces around the park also.

Fantastic traditional Mexican food. The pastor and barbacoa super flavorful. The aguas frescas paired well with all the food and the staff was super nice. When we arrived almost every table was full but the staff was attentive and had great service.
