Best Western Shippensburg Hotel - Hotel in Shippensburg - 125 Walnut Bottom Rd, USA

The room had a housekeeping problem and once the front desk person saw it he gave us a new room with no problem. Overall the place was clean, had some areas of carpet wear. Breakfast was adequate. They had a pancake machine. The breakfast attendant was very attentive and helpful.

Highly recommend! Very clean! I'm really picky about my hotels and this one definitely passes the test. I would've given 5 stars but the only issue I have with them is that if you like hot showers you better be quick to finish. I'm guessing the hot water heaters are small because I've stayed in multiple rooms and the issue is the same. That has been my only issue though.

I am a retired police officer, now physically disabled and retired. ||||I have Type 2 Diabetes with neuropathy, I also have low vision and most recently...cancer. ||||I have made my funeral arrangements bc I really don't expect to live much longer. ||||My wife and I have been frequent visitors to Best Western Shippensburg over the years and are diamond members. My trips to the hotel pool etc...serves as an escape from my physical pain that is always with me. ||||I am writing this review, and unfortunately it is about the behaviors of Pat, the Breakfast Lady. ||||She was very rude and on the morning before my experience with Pat, I observed her harass a young girl. The color of her skin was black. By the way that Breakfast Lady treated me a day later, I now believe that this was Racial Discrimination. ||||On the following morning, Breakfast Lady attempted to harass me and this started bc I was using a cardboard coffee cup. She laughed at me when I informed her about my physical disability. She progressed to tell me that I was not a good person and she laughed at my disability and also my religion. ||||These are violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA.Gov)||||I informed her that she was being reported to the front desk Manager. She followed me down the long hallway to the front desk and she made fun of my disabilities and my Religion. ||||My wife was present to witness this woman speak with her misery and contempt. ||||She is an embarrassment to the Best Western chain and her employment should be terminated. ||||I was unable to finish my breakfast bc of her. This was something that we have always enjoyed. ||||On this same day, I later fell flat on my back due to my neuropathy. The hotel Manager was summoned and he helped me to get back up, from the floor. He is an example of treating Hotel Guests with Respect. ||||Once again, I was treated in a extremely horrible manner by the Breakfast Lady. As a former Chief of Police, I was responsible for training my men in areas involving people with physical disabilities.||||There is no amount of training which could correct the behaviors of this vile woman. ||||Shame on her and Shame on Best Western. ||||KenR Jr.

We did a one nights stay while heading south to home. I found it good for spending one night as we continue our trip home. There were restaurants nearby, we went to KMJ Diner and had a good meal. Does provide breakfast.||This is all I have to say but this trip advisor is making me say 200 characters?????

My family travels to this Best Western routinely to just get away and enjoy the views, and especially the hotel, our home away from home! The indoor pool is serene and the perfect temperature and atmosphere. This BW is dog friendly and that means the world to us! Breakfast is included and is always hot and tasty. Kudos to the front desk, especially Deb, and everyone really who we have the pleasure of chatting with that works here!

Positive: Pool. Hot tub. Beds were very comfy. Easy to access rooms. Breakfast was delicious?scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, bagel, muffin and coffee and juice. Very clean Negative: The fridge in room 103 was not working to keep anything cold. Ice machine was also broken.

Only thing that I see could possibly make this place better is an elevator but other than that it's a great place to stay. Pool - great, breakfast in am.- great. Kind and generous staff. 9 on a scale 1- 10.

Checked in perfect until owner had his maintenance attendant go check our room while we sat in the lobby waiting for him to make sure it was ready at 3pm. The jetted tub need cleaning before use and looked like it had burn marks at the bottom. The room has an odor of smoke. Found long strand of hair wrapped around the hair dryer and all over the only chair available in room. Exiting onto balcony seemed perfect until u turn around to come back in the room and there were multiple pieces of trash behind the curtain. The air and heat controls were not accessible so we had to plug in and unplug the unit. The bed was cozy and big! But the comforter was very thin. We didn’t use any room service. Also the website and our confirmation email stated check out was at 12. Room service was pounding on our door at 11. Then management, and then the front desk started calling us. They stated they just changed the check out time a week ago from 12 to 11 but then proceeded to ask us to see our email. We will not be back!!!!!
