Best Western Shackleford - Hotel in Little Rock - 8 Shackleford Dr, USA

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was better than expected and plenty adequate ( we’re not on a cruise ship!). Common areas were clean. Room was clean. Bathroom fixtures were modern and in perfect working order. TV worked fine. Fridge worked too well (froze our leftover drinks after two days (that’s on us)). Linens were spotless. Bed was comfy enough if you like yours relatively soft. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in LR.

Negative experience at this Best Western June 2024. Items stolen from our vehicle parked in lot during stay. Entire bed of truck covered with tarp and securely tied down. We felt our items were secured. Police called and report filed. Two patrol cars arrived and officers assisted in canvassing the area in hopes of locating stolen items. Our beach tent was recovered close to bushes near Best Western. Other stolen items not recovered. In searching area with officers evidence of transient and drug behavior was discovered. Made clear by the trash in and around the bushes adjacent to Best Western lot yet not visible when parking. NO cameras in parking lot. ( Surprising when cameras are everywhere) Cameras would have been helpful to police and possibly provide a deterrent to thieves and other potential criminal behavior in this Best Western lot. Numerous cameras inside this hotel and posted warning signs outside. Red flags we will pay attention to in our future travels. Upon arrival home we discovered our account was charged twice for the stay. An unwelcome addition to the already negative experience. In contacting this Best Western the duplicate error was corrected.

Customer service means everything to me!! The staff here was very involved on making my stay enjoyable and I felt the warm and genuine welcome, which is most important. The room was very clean and exceeded my expectations! Will definitely be staying there again!

Hidden on the hill. Jacuzzi in our suite, roomy and clean. Our refrigerator wasn't working it was replaced in less than 8 min. Front desk clerk was super kind and very helpful. Don't forget breakfast. The pool was clean and plenty of towels.

This is a recently remodeled modern motel that is clean and scrupulously maintained. The room was divided into three areas, the bed with a big television, an office area with a desk and plenty of plug-ins for computers and electronics, the fridge and microwave along a handwriting sink with the bathroom were closest to the door. Each side of the bed had a excellent reeading light. There were reading lights on BOTH sides of the bed and they had dimmers. The blackout curtain on the window was decorated with a bridge photo. It was a modern room with lots of clever highlights. The treadmill in the gym worked, the pool was inviting and the breakfast bar was comprehensive. Great place to stay close to hospitals and doctors office. Oh, I forgot there are three restaurants within easy walking distance, Mexican, Japanese and western sexy.

Nice enough hotel, but the ones that stick out pay attention to key details that make hotel stays just a bit nicer. This one needs some attention to a few details.. but first, what worked: The room was clean (smelled a bit of cleaners, but it wasn’t bad). Bed soft, two kinds of pillows (feather, foam), big TV, fridge and microwave worked, bedside lighting that enabled electronics charging, and enough horizontal space to set most of your stuff on. Oh! And dimmable bed side lights - that was quite nice. Although there were a few loud cars (revving and radios), for the most part it was quiet. The staffer on when we checked in (7/6) was amazing. The breakfast was the same both days (so not sure if it changes or not) eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, waffles, hash brown triangles, cereal, fruit, yoghurt/toppings, muffins, danish, bagels, bread. There was prolly a few things I’m forgetting too. Upshot: solid, day-starting fare with something for everyone. Here’s the issues. The shower curtain: Curtain ring (built into curtain) cut so it can slide onto the rod - but EVERY time you move the curtain, rings fall off. That’s ok in the middle, but happening on the end means a mess on the floor. Blackout “curtain”: Operated by chain, and the chain wasn’t configured right. Has too many “stop” sections (meant to keep you front damaging the system) so it was frozen between 2” and 3” up. So it was ABSOLUTELY INEFFECTIVE as blackout, and useless to let more light in later in the day. This is just lame…it only takes some new chain to fix entirely. $2 tops.

My sister and I stayed here April 14 - 19 and luckily they had a room available as we were walk-ins because our previous hotel we booked, the room was just unsanitary. The minute we walked in, it smelled very clean and nicely remodeled. The hotel from guest services, the lobby rooms, breakfast area, and room were kept very clean and tidy daily. Breakfast was good everyday. Rahul and his staff were very welcoming and friendly. Rahul had us laughing everytime we saw him during our stay. I would recommend staying here.
