Best Western Savannah Historic District - Featured Reviews (1688)
Location is perfect for exploring the historic district. Be aware that parking is $30.00 extra per day. They said street parking is not plentiful and you still have to look for it. Staff was pleasant, breakfast plentiful and outdoor pool a treat in this hot weather. HOWEVER, someone checked us out too early , so my key got deactivated and the cleaning lady was in our room when we went back after breakfast. We were startled and upset by this. Nothing was missing, but she should have seen that all our belongings were still in the room and not entered. The front desk wanted to know who it was. How should I know? It was their responsibility to keep track of their staff.
The service at this motel was exceptional. The beds were comfortable and when I asked for an extra blanket it was promptly brought. We used the hotels swimming pool. The water was very clean without excessively being chlorinated. Breakfast was outstanding. If I had to say anything bad about the motel it was only that there were no ice machines working on all three floors.
From location it's perfect right on the doorstep to the historic district everything walkable, the 2 days that I was there certainly done a lot of walking exploring the city was fun do get out and enjoy the city your close to the river as well.
Mind you with all that walking was nice to go back to the hotel and rest enjoyed the outdoor pool both afternoons nice to take a break from walking.
The room itself was very comfortable and spacious with seating area.
Bathroom was spacious everything nice and clean.
Breakfast was good in the morning and plentiful.
Parking is a little tight they have limited space but across the road is more parking but you do have to pay $30 a day.
All in all a great hotel will go back again.
Excellent location, helpful staff, concierge service, great breakfast. |We stayed two nights. Parking is extra but comparable to other parking and worth the convenience. |Hotel is so close to the river walk and the city market. Perfect location.
Noisy, messy and run down is how I would describe this hotel. Only positive was that the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked. Breakfast was OK - coffee acceptable. Very grubby outside - all in all - disappointing hotel. Not for us.
I had no idea how great of a location this hotel was till we got there. We were traveling for a dance competition, end on June/ beginning of July. Parking could be a little tight depending on how many guest were there. There are 2 smaller lots at the front of the building and single spaces at the back of the building. Parking is an additional $30 per day and you will be given a pass to place on your dash. Due to great location we only moved our car 1 time during our trip to drive over to the convention center for Competition. Every other day we walked to the City Hall Ferry Landing and took the Ferry across the river.||Room was clean and bed was very comfy. Window has shutters and a blind on the inside so room was nice and dark to sleep. We were on the back side, 3rd floor and never really had a problem with noise. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and nice. Security Guard walked the property every evening. ||Location, it was perfect! We could walk down to the river, lots of places to eat, to the squares and Forsyth Park. If you don't want to walk everywhere, you can catch the free DOT bus. Our only issue was lack of towels available. When we got to our room there were only 2 towels for 4 people. When I asked for more, they didn't have any clean. I just made sure to stay ahead of having towels in our room from then on. There is a small outside pool and fitness room available to use. There is NO guest laundry, which would have been great to have since it was so hot while we were there. There are ice machines on each floor, 1 elevator, vending machine on the first floor and they also sell snacks in the lobby. All rooms have exterior doors only.Sound machines are in each room and you can request earplugs from the front desk. They also have a concierge lady in the lobby to help you with tours/sight seeing. We definitely want to go back and I would definitely stay here again.
The location is great and our room was large and bathroom was too. Shower was not great. Breakfast was okay but staff did not keep the options topped up often. Outside balconies had water leaks and none of the ice machines were working. Did not meet Best Westerns usually high Australian standards
What a gem. This is a total find. The apartment is very large and has everything you need for a comfortable visit. We were two friends, so I used the sofa bed as an extra room. It worked very well - itâs big and comfortable and, if you ask, theyâ
Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
