Wonderfully clean hotel rooms. Nice complimentary little breakfast with pancakes, parfaits, bagels, OJ & coffee (pretty nice for being included in the price of the room). The front desk staff are nice and helpful too. Be aware! This hotel is quite possibly located in the most putrid area of SF. You are definitely safe in the hotel, but I wouldn't recommend walking around the neighborhood at night. However, it is within walking distance to nicer areas. With that in mind, I would not recommend this hotel to families with kids (as the faint sounds of screams and sirens are a little less than ideal for young children). For my boyfriend and I, this was all worth it for being within proximity of downtown SF and the low price of a room. There is free gated parking located below the rooms (some are in the garage and others on the floor level). The gate is closed at night to prevent burglaries and there are plenty of cameras as well. This is a great part of the hotel since lots of places downtown will charge you $60+ a night to park.
Room was great!! recently remodeled, I think. It was clean and smelled clean. Room did not have microwave, bummer. They did not have roll aways, bummer. Breakfast was great!!! Staff was nice! Car was locked, in lower level garage, good, because, this hotel is in downtown San Fran, where there are lots of homeless and druggies roaming around the streets, all around the hotel! thankfully we were up on the second floor, and felt somewhat removed from that, but, with small kids....would not go back here again.
Shining bright spot in the Tenderloin! Lovely little mid-century Art Deco hotel, I really love the decor with the yellow accents, down to the matching accent strip in the shower. Viki at the front desk was awesome, he got me set up with early check in so I could get to my early afternoon event at GG Park, and had offered to store my bag for me if the room wasn't ready in time (it was ready in time). Lovely staff and attention to detail that really makes this hotel stand out. It is in Tenderloin, so don't recommend roaming the nearby streets at night, but it's convenient to bus and BART lines and easy to get around. A++
Positive: Definitely the best of the hotel was the staff. Specially Hotel employee, which were very attentive, helpful and friendly. The location was great, having everything near or walking distance. Free parking and free delicious breakfast was awesome. Negative: The hotel is not at fault, but unfortunately homelessness around is overwhelming. Even though, security was reassuring and made me feel safe at all times.
Tenderloin is one of the worst areas for homelessness in SF...||That said, when we returned to inside the hotel premises we completely forgot about the location. We were impressed by the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room, the breakfast options and the hospitality of the staff. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good hotel at a reasonable price, rather than looking for a motel or moving further out of the heart of downtown SF.
Positive: This hotel has a great location. Hotel and room was very clean. Room and bathroom were uodated. Staff was great and very kind and accommodating. Had free limited onsite parking and a pay for use ev charger. Negative: The beds could be more comfortable and the bathroom door is a frosted glass barn door which wasn?t ideal but not a deal breaker.
Positive: I liked the lady at the front desk who checked us in.she is kind and personable. She's the kind of person I'd look forward to coming to the hotel and seeing again. It was also newly renovated and that was nice. Negative: Water pressure in the shower was the only thing.
Positive: This hotel is absolutely wonderful. There were four of us and we had a double room with the balcony. From the free parking to the delightful breakfast. It was what we enjoyed. The only bad thing was the area. it did provide entertainment on the balcony. Negative: The area isn¿t the best and I can see how it could bother some people. We didn¿t mind. Hotel is much cleaner than the area would have you believe. Very happy to have stayed here rather than downtown in a room 3x smaller and 3x more expensive. Great service both in the evening and morning. Great coffee and muffins - truly.
