Best Western Plus Ruston Hotel - Featured Reviews (376)
This stay was memorable for all of the wrong reasons. When I first arrived, I inspected the room and was disgusted. There was so much hair on the bathroom floor, soap scum in the shower stall, chips on the floor and something spilled on the side of the dresser/ television stand. I reported this to the front desk staff, who allowed us to change rooms. The new room was better with regards to less hair in the bathroom. There was a small shard of glass my the window, only one bed had a duvet, and there appeared to be a leak under the bathroom sink (or perhaps a puddle from a repair). After getting in so late, my son and I just wanted some rest. The next day, there was a horrible odor in the hallway like seawater and trash. Needless to say I couldn't wait to leave your establishment. I reported all of my findings to the front desk. The only bright spot to our stay was the furnishings of the fitness center and proximity to the wedding we were attending. We stayed 2 nights and I wasn't able to sleep either night. This will be my last stay at this Best Western or possibly any Best Western.
Despite the low scoring reviews, our room was clean this weekend when we stayed, breakfast was great and the service was really good as well! We had zero problems during our stay - The TV in our room, the power button did not work on the remote, but we just unplugged it (it was unplugged when we got there too) so it must have been not working for the previous guests. We were not there long enough to watch much TV so it didn't really create any issues for us. I'd stay here again!
Rooms & hotel was clean. All the staff was friendly. We didn't have any trouble. The bed was pretty comfortable, a little firm for my liking but not terribly. My husband said that the breakfast was good. Sausage patties, Biscuits & Gravy, Bagels, Waffles. I slept through it. Check out was at 11 am. 🙌 We paid a pretty penny, but at least it was worth it overall due to cleanliness.
If we could add more stars we would! The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast had great options and even fun waffle cookers with best western logo. I loved walking down there and having the area having a lot of seating options and the TV not being so loud. The rooms were clean and you can tell these people go above and beyond and take their time on the rooms and really care about our stay. Even though the rooms were full the place was still quiet and peaceful. We also loved that there was a place to refill our water bottles right by the bathrooms. We highly recommend this place for families!

The hotel was nice but rooms are not serviced. I was not told that rooms would not be serviced so when I got back at 11pm, I had to take towels down to the desk to change them out. There were no clean towels in the hotel at all…I had to wait over 30 mins for mine to be washed so that I could shower. Then while I was trying to remake the bed I discovered a giant, crusty booger on the comforter covered by the top blanket. ||The hotel pool was “closed for the season” despite it being June.||The guy that worked the overnight shift was the friendliest and most helpful.
The only thing good about this hotel is Jason at the front desk. They changed our room five times and they were all filthy. We ended up cleaning our own room after the manager went in and cleaned it. I have asked to speak to a manager and I’ve also sent an email with no response, The laundry room is absolutely disgusting, we had to clean the washer out before we could even use it. There was someone’s underwear left on the floor Along with overflowing garbage and grime in the laundry room. We could not move hotels due to them all being booked up at a higher rate there were people running in the hallways constantly. The elevators were dirty the walls and the floors were never cleaned the whole time we were there. Nothing was addressed as far as cleanliness, We even called the front desk and ask them to have the washer and dryer serviced or cleaned And they told us they didn’t do that. Would not recommend staying here unless you like dirty floors and hair!!!
Positive: The fitness center was clean and all of the equipment was in working order Negative: The rooms could've been cleaned better. It was sad how basic cleanliness was skipped. I was grateful I brought my Lysol with me. There was stray hair in the bathroom, carpets weren't vacuumed, random stenches in the hallway. I don't want to have to return
The Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful in every instance. I received a most peaceful rest, the beds are firm and the pillows are fluffy. I highly recommend this place to lodge. The Manager, House Cleaning and Evening Staff were very professional and friendly.
The hotel is going through a renovation, but most of it looks done. The staff was very nice and my room was newly finished and very clean. Absolutely no complaints AND the breakfast was better than normal for Holiday Inn.
We LOVED spending the day with Jordyn! We drove 4 hours to see her! My mom (70yrs old on the arm), daughter (ribs), and myself (leg) got matching tattoos.
We have worked with the Preserves for a number of years as a vendor and this property is top notch. From the staff to the quality of amenities and buildings themselves, this is a great place to live near campus. Gated and safe.
I use to shop at Catoâs Department years ago until I move to another state and this type of store wasnât in my area. I had a surprise gift from a friend with two items for the spring. I am so excited. Very pretty, stylish and appealing to me. Cus
Gibsonâs is my go to place, as Iâm vegan and they have many options.
Iâm also fond of management, as if thereâs something I recommend to be supplied or in stock, they have taken suggestions and will place an order.
