Concerning the reply by the hotel:
First, we made the reservation through CHASE TRAVEL, using the CHASE credit card, within US territory, not some foreign agency as you described. And we provided every information you mentioned upon reservation.
Second, there was absolutely NO EXPLANATION from the front desk concerning the cancellation. And they REFUSED COMMUNICATION from Chase Travel multiple times. They simply hanged up the calls from Chase Travel.
Most importantly, I feel very annoyed and offended by the way you and your front desk staff deal with this issue. Through the whole process, we received NO NOTIFICATION from you concerning the status of this booking. And I don’t see any effort you made to communicate with Chase travel about this issue, as they said they are totally unaware of the case when we called them last night. If that’s the way you deal with issues, it’s simply telling guests that “Don’t book through travel agencies else you will be dumped in the lobby unattended and unaware without a room to stay and money refund at midnight”.
Thank you for your reply.

It was a terrible experience and I will give 0 star for the service. We arrived late in the evening after a long journey, only to be told by the front desk that our reservation was cancelled. But we didn’t receive any notice or refund. Even our reservation on the travel portal was still valid. They said that there’s no option but to make a new reservation and refused to further communicate. It was already midnight and it’s almost impossible to find available places around. We reserved here only because it’s near the convention center and we had an important meeting there the next day. However, it was completely ruined by their horrible management. I would definitely suggest anyone to avoid this hotel.
This hotel is located at the heart of the city. It is near to most of the tourist attractions. Easily walkable and lot of eateries nearby if you want to explore. The staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are neat. Value for money. Breakfast was amazing and many to choose from!
Front desk staff was neither welcoming nor friendly. I had a 3-night stay and my room was only cleaned once. Even with that, I had placed my used, wet towels on the bathroom floor only to find them hanging on the shower when I returned to my room. Housekeeping came to replace them, but said it was because they had not dried! Trash was only emptied once. The bed was never made.I skipped one of my evening conference events because I was afraid to walk back to the hotel location alone. After hours, my guest key did not work to let me into the hotel from the street--rather, the desk staff would see me trying to work the key card and then open the door from their location. The experience was not what I expected from Best Western.
Continental breakfast was pretty bad- eggs were a weird consistency. Potatoes had no flavor. Yogurt was out of date. Toaster barely worked. Highly recommend Egg's Ale restaurant down the street. Server was not friendly, but food was very good, prices reasonable.|Our king room was OK (stains on carpet, seemed old and dingy). Breakfast attendant was pleasant, front desk not so much.
The hotel was very clean and modern, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast had basic but fresh selections, and there was ample seating area. There was a bit of a walk from the parking garage, which I secured with SpotHero, but we didn't mind so much for the value. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Philadelphia.
The staff was great, the room was fine, but the breakfast was DREADFUL. A Nescafé machine and they didn’t even have real cream. All the food was simple carbs, prepackaged and sugary. Terrible powdered eggs. Parking is a bait and switch - advertised as $25; I actually had to pay almost $39, and it was across the Vine Street Expresssway in an open air lot.
So I book a non-refundable fare. The CROWDSTRIKE happened. My airline was able to cancel the flight in the last minute, but the manager of the hotel "was very sorry" but kept the fare. So, I understand I paid a non-refundable fare, but if the disaster happens - they will take your money. After all they need to balance the book....Sucks
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. At check in, we were rudely greeted and treated. Our room was still not ready at 5pm so we had to go to our event with our checking in and were only able to check in afterwards at 11pm. The staff seemed not to care at all that we had been inconvenienced. Also Weould not let us use our gift cards as partial payment.
