Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn - Hotel in Fort Lauderdale - 1180 Seabreeze Blvd, USA

We checked out of this hotel three nights early because our room was cramped, dirty, and smelled like old feet. While the staff seemed kind and attentive, this hotel needs a whole revamp. They've obviously redone the lobby and breakfast area, but the rest of the hotel is outdated and dirty. We also had no hot water for the first day of our stay. It wouldn't even come out of the tap. I washed my hands in the ground floor bathroom and wasn't able to get the soap off as there was no water at all. ||While we didn't have roaches in our room (that I saw, anyway), three of our friends (in three separate rooms) checked out immediately upon entering the rooms and seeing multiple roaches on the walls and lamps. ||The location of the hotel was good if you're hoping to enjoy the beach -- it's a three-minute walk away. But the hotel is quite loud as it's on a busy road. Breakfast was okay and had gluten- and dairy-free options, which was nice. The staff were friendly and seemed generally helpful, although we had to fight to leave three nights early without a penalty. Considering the state of the room and our friends' rooms, they should have definitely understood and never attempted to charge us a penalty.

Loved this Hotel so quiet and peaceful but also so close to the action, about a 15 minute delightful beach walk to the Elbow Room strip. Robert at reception was wonderful! All staff excellent in this clean and comfortable property! Also a great value, 4 star experience at a great price point! Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway! Buffet breakfast beyond compare!

Staff is very helpful when you arrive early. We had to wait for our room and were told that we could use the pool while we waited. Friendly staff. Needed a taxi for 8 people and the front desk helped us out. Breakfast is one of the best and included in the price. A huge variety of items to choose from including making your own waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, fruit, etc. All was very good.

This was a disappointing hotel, especially for the high price that I paid. It is extremely run down. Old carpets, furniture, bathrooms, etc. The elevator seemed unsafe as it shook and made creaking noises. There are no luggage racks in the room, and when I asked for 2 racks, I was brought a broken rack and an old ottoman. The breakfast was not very good - very low quality food provided, and no oatmeal like other similar hotels provide. On the positive side, the hotel bedding was clean, and the shower was decent. The front desk staff were also friendly. It is close to the cruise port, which served my needs. But, I was glad to only be staying one night and I would not stay again. I think the hotel needs a serious renovation, or better yet, it really needs to be torn down and replaced with a new hotel.

Hotel location is great! Very walkable to bars restaurant along the beach. Hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. Hotel itself is showing some wear but the breakfast and food area( not really a restaurant) were both good. They also have shuttle service (extra fee) to the cruise port.

It was fine. The room smelled a bit musty, along with the hallway carpet. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall but overall it was okay. The pool is heated, which is really nice during the winter months. It was a little dirty though, with sand on the bottom. Outdoor area and seating is nice. Breakfast was okay. Bathrooms are clean.. and you can see the ocean from the balcony. Staff was nice. Overall, this hotel was not bad and was in a nice area.

Great hotel, few steps from the beach. My sports obsessed 10 year old loved the nearby public basketball court. Restaurants in a short walking distance. Nice, comfortable feel, amazing balcony, nice pool, the best breakfast ever. Will definitely consider when traveling to this location in the future.

We stayed here for two nights before cruising out of Port Everglades. The hotel looked good from the pictures and reviews and it worked out well. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was relaxing and wasn't crowded. Breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly.||The only downside was that the service at the bar/restaurant was quite poor and getting to the beach wasn't as easy as they made it seem.||I'd stay here again.
