King beds are firm. If that's what you are looking for, this is the place for you. Hubby liked it, I'm not a fan. I enjoyed the Harbor view from the 3rd floor, and the sunsets were incredible! Great shower! Nice size fridge. I didn't care for their hand soap or their hand towels, which were not absorbent enough. Clean, modern, had advertised amenities. Would like more weight on the bed covers. Nice pillows. Ice makers weren't working. Their breakfast was plentiful, and the guy serving breakfast was extra helpful and made us feel very comfortable. There was a very nice view from their upstairs breakfast room. The scrambled eggs are nothing to write home about, but they had biscuits and gravy, bacon, bagels, toast your own toast or muffin, cereal, yogurt, make your own waffles, and several fun toppings, juice and coffee. Nice set up! We saw families enjoying their indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. The people at the front desk were kind and helpful.
The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast hall were very friendly and my husband and I enjoyed interacting with them. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast selections were great. The view of the ocean was beautiful. Between the wonderful staff and excellent amenities, we cannot recommend this place enough!
Not sure why the negative reviews. Stayed here last night and I was very pleased. Rooms were clean and spacious, bed comfortable and everything looked very up to date. The service even topped that. I was so impressed when we checked in. Josh was so pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast staff was amazing too.
Had a wonderful view of the harbor and easy to get to a good dining place. Definitely would stay here again if in the area.
Best Western Plus Northwoods Inn is my home away from home while I am working in Crescent City, CA. Patricia the Manager and her staff, from check-in to check-out, go out of their way to insure my stay is the very best possible and accommodate my needs and questions with a smile.
Since the Spring of 2023; I have made several business trips to Crescent City, and have stayed at two other hotels as well. Best Western Plus Northwoods Inn is probably the best in the entire Crescent City area. I have found it to be the cleanest, friendliest and most convenient option of the three hotels.
How did I sleep you ask? Quite well, especially for a light sleeper. The rooms are quiet and I rarely hear external noise or loud people in the hallways or adjacent rooms.
Is everything perfect? Mostly! The only improvement I would comment on is that they continue to update the property, which was probably put on hold due to the Wildfires in the area causing the property to be booked solid the past three months. Yet, my rooms and the property are always clean.
There are good restaurants nearby for easy, tasty dinning and the free breakfast they serve on the property is the best and has the largest selection of the three hotels I have stayed.
So in terms of it's competition in the Crescent City Area, this hotel receives 5 Stars in my book!
I enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff with a good location. However the pool, hot tub and sauna were closed. Decent breakfast and a nice clean room. However the first night the the carbon monoxide detector went bad and I had to move rooms.
My best friend came out to visit from N. Carolina and wanted to see some big trees. So Crescent City seemed like a good place and being Best Western guys I chose the Northwoods Inn for he, my wife, and I to stay. We loved it! I will start with the only remotely negative thing and that is that the room did have a faint, old, stale cigarette smoke smell about it when we got there. But the room was very spacious and clean with a great layout, nice view of the harbor, and two comfortable queen beds. Staff was very helpful and positive. Jose in the breakfast area is outstanding. You have to meet him to understand. The front desk people also couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Crescent City for a night or three. Lastly, we took an expensive memory foam pillow along with us and forgot it. Spoke with Isaiah today and hotel staff had located it and they are shipping it back to us! No question we will stay here again if ever back in Crescent City.
Our room was on the 3rd floor, corner, facing the ocean, spacious, and spotless. The man at reception (Joshua) was courteous and professional. The building is off the road enough that we can't hear traffic even though it's the main road along the California coast. This is our new go to hotel when we drive between Portland and San Francisco.
Very inexpensive. Pleasant and helpful staff. Washer and dryer on site. Decent breakfast especially for the price.|Very outdated bathroom, decor and bedding. Bed and pillows not quite comfortable enough. Crescent City has a foghorn for the harbor close to the hotel that you can hear. Not much choice in Crescent City so I am not sure if you can do much better. Overall, would not stay again. We did not really sleep well.

Honestly walked in not expecting much from this place. Wanted just a quick burger and some fries. However, not only did i receive one of the best burgers i had in this long road trip of mine but also had awesome sweet potatoe fries and onion rings. T
This is a premier surf shop, with a personable, professional, and highly-informed staff. In short, the Local Boys Surf & Skate Shop is pure local Nor Cal stoke, and a higher recommendation is simply not possible for me & my family to give
Stunning scenery and great trails! Beautiful clear stream at the bottom. Road is not equipped for campers, however we did see some smaller RVs that had made it to the Old Grove area.
I wish I had discovered this place sooner! I went for a late lunch and was surprised by the service and the food. The service was amazing and they go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your time there. And the food was happy food da
A must stop when in town. Get cheese right at the factory and if youâre lucky you might get fresh cheese curds made that day. Creamy cheese selections and plenty of picnic or gift options.
A really nice place to stop on our drive into the redwoods. A really busy beach, with lots of campers set up. The weather was really chilly in July so come prepared!
Now I can say I slept with horses in an old corral. (It was grassy.) With a picnic table, potable well water spigot, plenty of space between neighbors, I couldn't have had a better place to pitch a tent on July 4. Fireworks exploded for hours. I did
We absolutely LOVE the Lighthouse Jetty. The lighthouse is beautiful, and they do tours all the way up into it. There are TONS of starfish all over the rocks, insane amounts of little crabs that are all different colors, and a beautiful landscape. We
The food was incredible!! There was so much food and it came quickly. We were both full by the end of our meals I had the quesadilla, and it was loaded with cheese, and the shredded beef and pork were delicious. The burrito was also incredible. The b
