Best Western Plus North Savannah - Hotel in Port Wentworth - 115 O\'Leary Rd, USA

The pluses were a very friendly and helpful staff, decent rooms, and a tolerable daily breakfast. The downside was the fact that the property is being upgraded, however, the elevator had brown paper taped all around it, the hallways had all sorts of construction equipment, plaster and debris on the floors. We were disappointed by the outdoor pool, the picture on the site showed clear blue water, our pool looked green and not usable, this is a poor representation of an amenity we were looking forward to using. We would have appreciated a heads up that the property was being renovated as after a long drive to the property we were looking forward to clean, comfortable accommodations and not having to step through nails, plaster, and debris to get to our rooms. We will no longer be staying at any Best Western property.

I don't usually write reviews but sure read them when choosing hotels so I've decided to start writing reviews. Everything was great. Room was refurbished, all worked well and staff in evening and morning were great. Have been enjoying rediscovering Best Western hotels. Will be using them more and more.

The hotel is conveniently located off of I95 and it was a good stopping point in route from Florida to New York. It is easily accessible to Savannah if visiting Savannah is in your plans. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty standard and offered a reasonable selection of hot and cold food. I would suggest requesting a room facing the rear of the property because there is a tractor trailer parking area adjacent to the hotel parking area and there seems to be a steady amount of engine sounds at all hours of the night. Also, there are only 3 handicap accessible rooms in the hotel so request and confirm ahead if needed. The only thing that we found unusual was that, even if the rooms were vacant, we could not have a first floor room because they are "only available to guests with pets." Overall, we found the hotel comfortable and would stay there again if our travels took us there.

I have been there in the Memorial Day, the staff is friendly, the room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was nice and have nice variety. Coffee machine whole day. Beside the hotel is the Enmarket gas station very nice and clean too👍 and lots of fast food around the place. Hotel is about 15-20 minutes from the historic downtown and the area is safe👍 Overall price and quality is very good‼️ Highly recommended for stay!

We had problems at this hotel. It could be a one off series of problems but I doubt it. I just don't understand how the reviews are so good. First Room The door was torn up with a knife or something where someone had tried to or did force their way in the room. The humidity was so high that it was hard to breath. The alarm clock and radio had water spots and the blank was wet due to humidity. The towel/robe hanger on the door was not secure. Second Room The shower curtain was missing. The blocks that the shower curtain rod was secured to was torn mostly off the wall. There was mold on the shower head and around the tub. The electrical outlet in the bathroom was secured with a self tapping screw. The phone was missing buttons. The exhaust in the bathroom didn't work properly. Then I killed a roach in the bathroom. There was rust on the bathroom door hardware. The towel/robe hanger on the door was not secure. The breakfast was good but considering there was a roach in the room it makes me nervous to eat it. Very disappointed in this location. I'm very tired of killing roaches at Best Western hotels.

I'm writing this from the parking lot. the hotel did not inform me they were undergoing renovations, so the construction noise, loud music from the back lot, and elevators covered in paper were off-putting. After an 18 hour drive I couldnt sleep due to the workers noise and music. Next day the breakfast, after over a decade of military service, was some of the worst food I've ever seen served. I had to walk away. Room was dirty. bathroom door had badly painted over repairs, shower bar had similar. bathroom vent had dirt and crusted things on the vent cover. Last morning, I awoke to find my bill with my full name, address, and phone number on the floor outside my door. Do not stay here. Vote with your wallet and let these corporations know they have to stop treating customers like trash.

The ac unit is not working in room 210. It was very hot!! I let them know and they just came to look at it. I could have done that myself!!! The breakfast was good though the orange juice could be better!! Other than that it was ok. I will be thinking twice at staying there again if I am in the area!!!

Room was okay. Place was located just off I-95. Exiting was a bear northbound as traffic is really heavy between 4-6 PM. Took about 15 minutes on the off ramp. The hotel itself is pretty nice. Really big breakfast selection and the wifi worked nicely. Nice pool for laps but it wasn't heated. However with the warm weather it wasn't bad. Nice to see it had a room safe but it was inoperative as they were removing all room safes during the remodeling process. Which is fine but couldn't you at least have the safe working until you remodel the room ? Also noticed the bathroom vent fan wasn't working only to find out there was no fan. It's about 10 miles from downtown Savannah which takes about 20-30 or more depending on traffic. Simply for connivence I would probably stay closer next time. Depends what your time is worth and if you plan on doing a lot of excursions. It may cost a little more but it is what it is.
