Best Western Plus Mid County - Hotel in Port Arthur - 7550 Anchor Dr, USA

THE ideal room at a hotel should have:|A hand held sprayer in the shower; CABLE NOT DISH, a SLEEP NUMBER bed and couple of other things but I don't want to share because I want rooms for a year of travel. This hotel is OK but just OK. 8 am and not much food out for the next hour so IF you are going to eat get down early or go to Waffle House. The coffee machine is terrible, a LOT of grounds in the cup, could not drink. The TV is dish, yes like most hotels, and in inclement weather, this is Pt. Arthur; the tv goes out and has to be reset by the desk. The room is "cozy' not very large, the bathroom is cramped, If you have to shut the door door it before you sit down.

As a valued member, my lastest stay was horrible. I requested a 1st floor room and a room close to the elevator, because I have health issues, and it wasn't accommodated. The first room was hot, the TV and the phone didn't work. I had to go downstairs to change rooms. After 30 minutes of asking for another room, I was sent to another room that was at the end of the hallway. I was placed in my third room. Mind you I had to keep packing up all three of my bags, purse and blanket twice. It was an inconvenience. And the room smelled like mold. I had an issue two weeks prior when I stayed the weekend. I won't give my money this place again. And I asked not to put me in a room facing the woods. I like to look out to the parking lot for my safety. I will not refer family and friends from out of town. At 8am, the cleaning lady came in my room and interrupted my sleep. Check out is at noon, so why was she in the room.

The maid woke us up to clean at 8:30 even though we had not checked out. Breakfast was supposed to be until 9 but was almost completely put away at 8:40. The woman putting away the breakfast brought out some of the food she had put away but the options were very limited because they cleaned up well before 9. The hotel was clean and everything worked correctly.

The hotel was clean and staff were extremely polite and helpful! Bathroom was spacious with a tub shower, had a blow dryer, and plenty of counter space. The room was large, had a desk, dresser, Microwave, Coffee Maker, and a fridge. The bed was nice, extremely firm- if you like a firm bed, this will be perfect for you! The complentary breakfast was waffles, sausage, breakfast breads, juices, and coffee. There’s a Starbucks in the Target- about 5 minutes away for those of who like that! Great property location; Safe, conveniently located in Port Arthur. Local restaurants, shopping, and local tourist attractions are all close!

I can't thank them enough! Came for a business trip and had the worst hotel ever so I called them last minute to see how soon I can check I'm since it was 9 am I sti had to shower and get ready for my business meeting manager advised there would be a extra charge when I said its ok I'll wait until check In she paused and said you've been through enough just come in and I'll get you a room you need your rest! She was the absolute best! 💯

WOMEN DO NOT STAY HERE!DISCRIMINATED BECAUSE OF BEING A WOMAN!!!! VERY UPSET AND OFFENDED!!! In town because Im graduating on Saturday with my Master’s Degee. I checked in at 4:30pm. on May 10, 2024. The man at the checking desk was helping me with the 2 rooms I reserved. I told him I needed a 3rd one for my son. As he's checking in for the 1st room, he finishes and says something I can't understand. The hotel clerk is hard to understand not just because he has a heavy accent but because he talks really low and mumbles. Anyway, I finally understand that he's indicating the person behind me. When I take a quick look back, I see a man wearing fireman clothing, so I think this is something extremely important, and I step off to the side. THEN I SEE THE MAN'S SUITCASE!!! The hotel clerk had me move out of the way in the middle of checking in so he could help the fireman instead!!! Seriously!! When I realized that was what he was doing, I said to the hotel clerk, "So I'm all done, we're finished? He refused to answer me. I then said, "So you're not going to answer me? He still didn't say anything. I turned to look at my Mom and Tony and said, "What the hell! When the fireman walked away, the hotel clerk said no you still have the 2nd room to check in. Of course, there's no name tag or name plate. There is no name on my receipt. No one to explain the sexist discrimination that took place! DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Check in was very easy. The entire Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bust. There was no water to drink, juice machine was down and the fruit presented was old. When apples start having wrinkles you know it's old. I've been to other facilities where breakfast amenities were top notch. Ill still rate at a 4 because the building itself was very clean.

We had a two night reservation at a different brand local hotel that ended up being very dirty so we left after the first night and moved to Best Western Plus. When we checked in we told the front desk clerk what happened at the other hotel. When we arrived in our room he called us to confirm we were satisfied with the room. Very good customer service. The room was extremely clean and was very nice! The only complaint is the water pressure in the shower was not as strong as we wished but still giving this 5 stars. Will definitely stay here again!
