The front desk employees were all amazing. Very helpful and friendly. I was very upset to find my room with bugs everywhere. On the counters and bed. The front desk did change my room to a cleaner one. The shuttle driver to the airport on the morning of Aug. 5th 2024 was horrible. With multiple people waiting in the lobby where we were told to wait he literally drove to the front and by the time I could stand up to go out he had pulled off. No signage to indicate he was the airport shuttle and he never came in to let everyone know he was our ride. The front desk personnel contacted him and he stated he would turn around however he lied and never turned around to come get us. When she contacted him he was literally still at the light next to the hotel. He did not return until 30minutes later. 😡

I missed my flight and stayed one night at this hotel. They have free transportation to the airport. Good breakfast at no cost. I think the pool is being remodeled. Excellent room, the air conditioning is freezing. A very clean place. I recommend it to any traveler who is passing through and it is very economical.

My recent experience at the Best Western Plus Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Airport Hotel, was extremely disappointing. I had reserved a 2-night stay, but upon returning to my room on the second day Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at about 10:15pm, it was evident that the room had not been cleaned and there were no fresh towels or changed sheets for my kids' bed. When I called room service, I was informed that there were only two employees working in the entire hotel, as conveyed by the front desk attendant. Despite requesting 4 fresh towels and new bed sheets, I was abruptly told that none were available. The response was not only unhelpful but also delivered in a rude manner, with the attendant bluntly stating, "we can't help you." Frustrated and unable to settle for such inadequate conditions, especially with children needing proper sleep and hygiene, I went down to the front desk to seek a refund through, and leave to a more credible hotel. Shockingly, I was told refunds were out of the question. It was only after further insistence and escalation to another employee, a woman, that a room change was reluctantly offered. Considering I was on crutches due to a broken leg, this inconvenience was particularly distressing. The entire ordeal highlighted a severe lack of basic service and empathy expected from a hospitality establishment. This experience has unequivocally tarnished my perception of Best Western Plus Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Airport Hotel. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to reconsider staying here. The level of service falls well below acceptable standards, making it an unsuitable choice for any traveler.

Absolutely the worst experience I ever faced with. It was at 10:30 pm when we returned and noticed that the room wasn’t clean, nor did we had clean sheets nor towels. My family was tired and dirty ,and my wife was on her cycle. We asked for towels so we could shower because we had an early start the next morning. The front desk person told me that she can’t help me that I will just have to wait til the morning because no one was here and that she has given away all of the towels away. It’s when I asked for a manager or corporate’s number is when she gave me some towels. There is no way a customer should have to fight that hard for good service. I was a couple of others things that I wasn’t please with as well such as rooms wasn’t that clean, the sheets always felt damped, ants, but the lack of customer service was the last straw.

UNSAFE BUILDING! I would give ZERO stars if available! We arrived in the early evening and check in was over 30 minutes. As we went to the elevator bank, one of the two elevators was out of service. By 11 o’clock both elevators were out of service! We had to carry down our luggage from the sixth floor in the stairwell. The building is ghetto! As we were waiting for our transfer to the cruise port, we noticed a certificate from the village of Hollywood Florida. It claimed the building was unsafe for occupancy. It also claimed the building collapse at any minute. Why best western is allowing people to stay in the building that is deemed to be on the safe by the village is beyond me. The pool and covered driveway were closed as well. And on top of it, they charge $300 a night to stay in this dump. Stay away for your own safety. There are plenty of other options for 30 or $40 more. Plus it look like they were drug deals going down towards the end of the evening outside the building.

Do not stay at this hotel. Worst customer service ever. No one picks up the phone. Got to the desk to book in maybe less than a hour early. Have to pay 30 to check in early. 38 years of checking in at a hotel, never have to pay a fee to check in less than a hour early. I ask can they waive it for the inconvenience they have cause us and she stated No. The shuttle driver that picked us up to go to the hotel was rude, with an attitude and could not drive at all . This have been the worst hotel experience I ever had. Daniel was nice though

My room had some type of bed bug or ‘other’ bug infestation and I’ve yet to get any resolution from the hotel management or from Best Western customer service despite logging a virtual ticket and calling to follow up on it as instructed. I’ve now escalated it to the state health department. Not sure what else I can do. Don’t stay here. The airport shuttle that’s advertised is a lie. The elevator barely works. The front desk personnel was doing her best, but she was the only person checking in a line out the door. The room appeared to have been cleaned but unfortunately the building is probably infested and needs torn down.

A comfortable hotel, very comfortable rooms, excellent beds, a great night's sleep. I recommend it for any occasion. Close to the ports and airports. They have a free shuttle service to the airport every hour. Very economical for spending the night. Next to the hotel there are two places to eat if you get hungry.
