Best Western Plus CottonTree Inn - Hotel in North Salt Lake - 1030 N 400 E, USA

This is a great hotel and a great deal for travelers. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. They have a very good breakfast selection. As I've read in other reviews, you can darken the room and get plenty of rest. Be sure to have an alarm clock. The bed was very comfortable. And there was some tasteful art on the walls.

This has been my go-to hotel for a few years, whenever I am in Salt Lake City. I love the rooms, the service, and the breakfast and the coffee machine is a favorite amenity - not just for me but for my kids as well! Every Front Desk Agent I have ever interacted with has been so lovely. I have tried to stay at other hotels in the area, but have quite literally checked out early and left just to go back to this Best Western. Lesson learned. My loyalty is to this hotel when in Salt Lake! :)

Great location but AC is broken at the hotel. Management doesn't turn on AC for common areas, including lobby, which resulted in the hotel feeling the full triple digits that were outside. AC in the room barely worked. Outside temperature was 102 and the coolest inside the room was 83. Staff was great but unable to do anything about the heat inside the hotel claiming management was apathetic. Location was good. Hotel was clean. They only clean the rooms Mondays and Fridays. All other days are just emptying garbage cans.

Great location close to many restaurants and stores. Everyone from the front desk staff , to breakfast and room staff were extremely nice and welcoming. Good selections at breakfast with a great choice of fresh fruit. Would stay there again!

Would you love having one of the best nights of sleep ever while traveling through Utah? If so, this is the hotel to stay at. Picture this: The room is pitch dark with the drapes closed. The pillows and bed are fluffy and immaculately clean. The air conditioning is cranked to your preference. You’ve found bliss. My only warning is if you need to be up early, make sure to set an alarm so you don’t oversleep because it’s that good for falling into a near coma-like sleep. Staff are super friendly and breakfast is a nice plus. 10/10 would stay again.

Paid extra to have a jetted tub but had no hot water for the whole stay. Kept being told they are having problems with a boiler. To try again in 15 minutes. Ended up taking cold showers the whole stay. People sitting in the halls being loud until midnight/1 am. Then kids running up and down the hall screaming at 6 am. The bed and bedding was at least comfortable. Honestly I've stayed in some very nice hotels and some very bad ones. This one looks nice but is in my top 5 of the worst ones.....

Worst Best Western that I’ve been to hotel 6 it’s better than this hotel their room smells cigarettes and bad, dirty rooms the shower has no pressure housekeeping, just knock one time and open the door and come inside in the room you call the front desk to talk to a manager supervisor and there’s nobody they can help you. Also their bets are bad. I prefer staying and sleeping in a car then getting this hotel again I do not recommend it. 8-23-2024

The hotel itself is nice, but pay attention to your reservation details, whether it be in an email, text, etc. I wanted to add an extra day to my reservation, and the person helping me canceled my original reservation then created a reservation for me at a completely different hotel location, 40 minutes away from where I needed! When I realized the mistake, the person I spoke to told me I would be charged $100 more to get the hotel I needed reserved again! I had to do it, because my son's family needed a place to stay during my daughter's wedding, but I will NEVER book with Best Western again. Weddings are stressful enough. Best Western just made everything worse.
