Best Western Plus Capital Inn - Hotel in Jefferson City - 1937 Christy Dr, USA

TL;DR A nice stay with some visual updates needed left us with 4.5/5 Decided to stay at this hotel over its equivalent in Columbia, MO, due to Mizzou home game driving prices to almost double the rate available here. Check-in was quick. It was nice to see quite a few families using the pool, and the hot tub was also in working condition, which is a nice change of pace for the area. Rooms were spacious and were very close to the images portrayed online. The bathroom was a decent size and featured a nice big tub. All chrome features were present except for the shower head, which looked like it belonged in a time capsule. The water pressure coming out of it also left a lot to be desired. There was some noticeable ceiling repair done in a few spots around the room, but overall, the room was clean and the linen fresh. Breakfast was delicious as always and kept within the Best Western standard for a continental breakfast. Hot food was prepared and available with plenty of drink choices to satisfy. The direct benefit for us was the availability of a high chair. Now, there did appear to be only one high chair and one booster for the whole hotel, but we were just thrilled to have one. Overall, with a few cosmetic changes, it's easy to see that this hotel could earn a quick 5 star average.

The first thing i noticed in the room was how clean everything was, the bathroom and sleeping area. The bed was very comfortable and whatever kind of sheets you use are amazing. I usually don’t sleep great away from home, but this was an exception!

Overall, the room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioner worked well in the guest room. The shower head was awesome and the water pressure was great. Liked the patio space available...we decided to eat breakfast out there as it was cooler than the breakfast room by a long shot.||||The front desk person on the day we checked in was very helpful, kind, and efficient. Unfortunately, I can not say the same thing about some of the other front desk personnel we dealt with. Both ladies seemed like they didn't want to be there, were annoyed when we asked for assistance, and were borderline rude. ||||Breakfast bar had lots of options and was well stocked. Breakfast bar staff was efficient, friendly, and helpful. Only downside was the room was so hot that we were all sweating while we had breakfast. The breakfast bar staff said she told the front desk about the problem but it wasn't fixed in the two day we stayed at the hotel.||||

I don't even know where to start. The rooms were nice, the pool was nice. The service? AWFUL. I booked 3 rooms. My teenage daughter and I in one, my parents in another, and my brother and his kids in another. I requested the rooms to be all together and 2 of them were but the other was on a different floor. Whatever, I can live with that. My daughter and I took the room on the second floor and the others took the 3rd floor rooms. We were in our room in the evening and our door opened and 2 men started to come in. I saw them, they saw us, we were all shocked. Fortunately, they quickly turned around and left. I finished getting dressed and went down to the front desk. The front desk person, Marsha, told me she didn't know how that happened but she moved them to room 222 (yes, she told me their new room number). She offered nothing else and seemed unphased and interested. We went up to my parents room to eat pizza and when we came back our keys didn't work. Back down to the front desk where Marsha said nothing and had to issue new keys. We went to bed it was fine. Fast forward to the next morning at 9:30. I'm once again getting ready and once again our door opens. This time it was a cleaning lady. She did not knock. She ran away (literally). I went back down to the front desk and guess who... Yup. Marsha. She informed us that she thought we had checked out (I hadn't even left my room before this moment). I asked to speak to a manager and she told me there was no manager because it was Sunday. She was quite short and not at all concerned about these issues. I informed her I would be contacting corporate and I would be expecting a phone call from management. She just said "ok". Like I said, the rooms and hotel were nice, the kids liked the pool. There are no restaurants within walking distance really. My problem is with safety concerns and the employees. We had 2 incidents with random people walking into our room unannounced. That is NOT ok. I have contacted Best Western Customer Service via phone and email. Hopefully they make this right To the guys who got put into room 222 last night, thank you for being gentlemen and quickly getting out of there.

Fell in their extremely slick tub that had cleaner left in it. Then when I got back from the ER, I finally fell asleep and then the front desk called me after 10pm and woke me up because they thought I didn’t sign paperwork that I definitely had already signed. So do not recommend.

The room was very spacious and clean. Very quiet. Very comfortable bed. The pool ares was very clean and well stocked with towels. Breakfasr area was roomy and had plenty yo choose from to eat. Located close to hwy. 54.

Great staff! Some of the friendliest people I have encountered in the industry. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot tub and pool were much needed for the Mrs and I. Breakfast was on point and fresh!

My family stayed at this location for a wedding and reception. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfortable!!! I love that there is a water-fill machine in the lobby for easy access! The breakfast room was a little warm for my liking, but the waffle machine did not disappoint!!
