Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel - Featured Reviews (1033)
A very nice Best Western Hotel. Room was clean and very spacious. We also had a lovely water view. Breakfast the following morning was also very good. The room contained a love seat sofa, a comfortable chair, a desk and chair. A very comfortable king size bed, microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. Also a bench which you could sit on or easily fit two carry on suitcases.
My first stay here was great! At the front desk, there’s always someone who helped with great assistance. I got checked in and out quickly by Catherine. She explained the importance to the hotel keeping it concise. Catherine also did the best of her abilities to ensure that I could get a requested room location, which I in fact did! As for the room, it was clean, spacious , and many furniture. The air conditioning worked great too, it’s a major essential during summer trips. I would definitely recommend staying at this Best Western!
I’ve been staying at the Bayside Inn Best Western Plus in Embarcadero every week for years, and it’s my go-to spot for a reason. The location is spot-on—right on the waterfront with killer views, and just a mile or so from Jack London Square, where you can dive into some seriously good food. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and the perfect place to crash after a long day.
David, the manager, is the man. He’s always making sure everything runs smoothly, handling whatever comes up with a laid-back, professional vibe. He’s got this place dialed in, and it shows in every stay.
Gabby’s breakfast in the morning is always a nice touch, but if you’re looking to wind down in the evening, you’ve got to hit the bar at the Executive Inn next door. The atmosphere is relaxed, the drinks are great, and the menu—while small—delivers. The "baller hotdogs" with chili are a total game-changer, perfect when you want a tasty, no-fuss bite.
At the end of the day, it’s the combination of the awesome staff, the laid-back vibe, and that home-away-from-home feel that keeps me coming back. If you’re looking for a spot in Embarcadero that’s got everything you need—views, comfort, great service, and a fantastic bar—you can’t beat Bayside Inn Best Western Plus.
Stayed here one night while catching a ballgame. |The first impression at the front desk needs a little more attention. |Young ladies that handle the guest are short in response, very un-welcoming and lack a sense of pride to work there. I experienced one interaction as condescending when I asked a question. |We were handed our room keys and head up to the room that we tried to read the hand written number on it. The writing was not clear so we tried the key and it would not work. |We guessed what the number might be and went to another room and it worked! |The numbers must be written down CLEARLY and not sloppy. |I was never greeted TWICE at check in or checking out by two different young ladies. |On to the room we go we really enjoyed the 3rd floor room with large jet tub and patio looking into the bay. |The coffee maker is great but no creamer, no sugar, no stir sticks. |Would I stay here again? Yes, it’s a nice area and has lots of close spots to eat, drink and walk around. |Keep your valuables out of sight in your car we saw broken car glass all over the area.
Hotel was very clean. Our room was large and included a king bed + a pullout couch.|Front of hotel - not too promising. It is right on the Embarcadero which parallels the highway. Back of hotel was an entirely different story. The rear is right on the water so while you are eating breakfast (inside or outside) you can look out on the water and see the sailboats, etc. Our room (280) also faced the back and had a nice balcony so we could see the same water from inside or outside. There is a nice path along the water where you could walk, but watch out for goose poop!|Breakfast included a lot of variety from yogurt to eggs to make-your-own-waffles.|Overall -- a good experience that would have been much pricier in a different location.
Anahi was so helpful. We checked in really late at night and she helped us find a parking spot and get all checked into our room. We were in town for a basketball tournament and I was traveling with my son. She was so sweet to us all. It's hard to find a nice hotel in Oakland for a reasonable price and this is our favorite.
Stayed last night 8/16/24. Great stay, this is the standard that Best Westerns should judge themselves on. Good experience from check in to check out, clean spacious room. They even let us leave our luggage after checkout to go sight see and go to and A’s game and come back and get it.
Beautiful lobby, great service, great rooms, nice view of a cute lake. Great customer service great price, great breakfast. Hotel was like a ray of sunshine around a bunch of lower class comparisons. Best choice in the area by far. Hands down best option for the price
Cozy, unpretentious yoga studio for people of all ages and abilities. I've only gone to this location one time so far but the instructor was great. Lots of natural light and a nice waiting area with clean restrooms and water available. Highly recomme
Love to support small business inspired by family and culture and led by strong women! Highly recommend the latiya latte and champorado mocha (as well as their chicken empanada) ð we had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with co-owner Ari and l
We went at 8pm and ordered a 6-piece buffalo wing and a pepperoni pizza. There was one man who was working the front and kitchen. He was extremely kind and friendly, and the food was ready quickly. We wish we had ordered more than 6 wings, as they we
