Best Western Owego Inn - Hotel in Owego - 20 Hickories Park Rd, USA

Overall I would give this hotel a very good review. we had a very spacious room with a large wet bar area, a microwave and a full size refrigerator. The hotel is right on the Susquehanna River and we had a nice view of the river from our room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we were able to get a good night's sleep each night. There were some small complaints that, if fixed, would make this a great hotel. First off, the day we arrived there were several men sitting outside the front door drinking beer. They were just hanging out and really were not bothering anyone but if I had been a single woman I would have felt uncomfortable walking into the hotel past this group. Second, although our room was very clean, the hallways and stairwells needed attention. The same two pieces of cellophane wrapping were in the hallway carpets all four nights we were there. The stairwells had a lot of debris and they were not cleaned the whole time we were there. The breakfast options could have been better. Breakfast was served from 7-9 the mornings we were there and we usually arrived at 8. One morning there were only two slices of bread for toast, another morning there was one bagel and when we asked for a second one we were told they were all frozen. The waffle maker did not have any instructions. The first two mornings we were here there was a very nice lady who kept everything well stocked and fresh but, unfortunately, she was not there the last two mornings of our stay and this is when the two incidents happened. These are small complaints and would not keep us from returning to this hotel whenever we are in the area but they would turn this very good hotel into a great hotel.

Check in and out was easy and staff are very friendly. |Plenty of parking. Room was clea,n bed comfortable and bathroom clean.|Breakfast had both hot and cold items.||There is only a McDonald’s close by. Otherwise, you need to drive a very short distance for restaurants. |I would definitely stay here again.

Considering the price we paid for what we got was upsetting. Upon arrival the greet was nice! We entered our room to find what seemed like the carpet had not been vacuumed, the bathroom- moldy shower with brown floor, terrible water pressure and barely any hot water. The overall stay was uneasy as we were sleeping in what felt like an unclean room, and a sign from the front saying room service was only going to be upon request during your whole stay. You might be better off with another hotel or Airbnb.

I stayed in this hotel frequently when it was a Holiday Inn. They've always had minor things that were an inconvenience but with the staff professional and friendly it made up for it. I continued to stay here when the change to a Best Western was occurring and after, and have also directed friends and family to stay here, which they did. I will not stay at this hotel or a Best Western again. As we all know, traveling has a lot of obstacles that change schedules and that can tire you out, where you're ready just to get into a hotel room. It may be due to it now being Best Western, and even if it's not, it's the franchise owner's business to make these decisions (as it's mine to never stay here again) but they are completely unaccommodating to slightly early check-ins (they would not do it at all, even with rooms available) or if you had a need for late check-out. They also refused to cancel the reservation without charging the full stay. I'll take my business elsewhere. For those traveling with an rv/camper, you may want to consider the town ran park that has water and electric overnight sites, bathroom/shower buildings, and directly on the Susquehanna River. It's down off of the same road to the side of this hotel.

Very enjoyable stay at this Best Western. I was in town for only one night and the hotel met all my needs. The room was clean and comfortable, the wifi was good and the shower was the right temperature. I had everything I needed. Thanks, BW Owego Inn!

This hotel looks decent from outside and gives the appearance that it has been renovated but once you set foot inside the guest rooms you may have a change of heart. My husband and I were driving my nephew to UBuffalo and needed to stop and get some sleep before we drove off the road. We looked on Expedia and this Best Western popped up with good reviews and up votes for cleanliness. Once we got into our room we were sorely disappointed. Please see the attached pictures as there were roaches and other bugs freely crawling in the kitchenette and bathroom areas. The tub had black mold and hair in the drain. The towels looked dingy and used. We were really disappointed by the quality of the room during our stay. Please think twice before booking a room here.

Immediately upon check-in I liked the staff - all fabulous. |Good, positive vibes throughout.|The room was a treat with the beautiful air drifting in during a passing storm making for fabulous rest.|I'm always happy when there is fruit and coffee in the morning; thank you for the abundant breakfast each day and the little seating area outside is just adorable.|I can't think of a more perfect location for exploring the area.

La chambre est dégueulasse, trou au plafond, du moisi, rien de bien laver... des cheveux/poils partout dans le lit sur les oreiller et dans la douche.. tuyau boucher ma douche a fini en bain... Honnêtement avoir su j'aurais dormis dans le parking... c'était plus attirent.
