Best Western Niantic - New London/Mystic Area - Hotel in Niantic - 265 Flanders Rd, USA

The rooms and hotel was clean and wonderful! The lobby was beautiful. The bathroom was incredibly clean. The location was good and there was ample parking. Here are the four reasons we are only giving three stars, but happy to update at a future stay if things improve. 1. It took us over an hour from arriving at the hotel to even get a room. We arrived at midnight and didn’t get a room until 1:05AM. The front desk staff member was not well trained or capable to quickly and efficiently check people in and answer basic questions. We felt bad because he seemed very stressed out from all the pressure of the job. The management needs to better train front desk staff and not have only one worker on the weekends. It’s not fair to the front desk staff or guests. It became incredibly frustrating waiting to get a room. An hour at midnight isn’t acceptable. I understand we were walk ins, but it took him at least 20-30 minutes to get each guest checked in. 2. The breakfast was bland and very sad. The eggs were dry. The coffee was okay. There was not a lot of non grain options and no sugar free or diary free milk or yogurt. It is not accommodating to sensitivities. 3. There was no baby changing tables in either of the lobby bathrooms. This should be required to accommodate guests with children and babies. It was difficult waiting over an hour in the lobby to get a room and not being able to change my babies diaper. 4. Some wild man down the hall from us was slamming doors, yelling, and be chaotic at 3am. I understand crazy people end up in hotels, but the staff needs to be quicker with dealing with these situations. It was over 30 minutes before the craziness was resolved. It made us feel unsafe. Otherwise, the hotel was nice and we would be willing to stay again. We would definitely recommend staying, but please properly train night staff and properly staff the facility at night and please improve the breakfast options.

Yes my husband andI did go for one night. Not a fan. I must say. If you are looking for a clean and new hotel for one night then it’s ok. Other than that from the moment we walked in the woman at the counter was very rude and abrupt. The hotel has nothing to offer. Pool was not open the breakfast was horrible and the worst area for us to come and go into the property. Cars were everywhere and extremely congested. You practically had to get out of your car to stop the he cars so you could get into driveway. I’m so sorry I don’t like giving bad reviews but could not help this one.

Place was very clean and had a new look to it. Check in was quick and easy. Breakfasts was a little disappointing considering the price of the room. Staff for kitchen was very slow in keeping up with the demand. It was odd that they ran your credit card when you checked it but if you bought stuff from the concession stand, they had to run your card again. Overall, a good place to stay

Very, very clean and new - still had that new hotel smell. Beautiful room, very comfortable bed and great perks - business center, fitness room and daily continental breakfast. Walk in shower was an added plus. My photos look exactly like the website.

Important: This is a brand new hotel as of my stay between 7/27/24 - 7/29/24. I got to talk to the owner while checking in and he said they'd only been open for a few weeks. The hotel it replaced got bad reviews but it has since been replaced by a much better hotel. Don't pass this one up. I really enjoyed my stay here. It was well worth its low rate. I find myself in the area once a year and I will definitely be staying here again next year.

Wow, this hotel is beautiful. Absolutely pristine, beds are massive and so comfortable. Everything is brand new and spotless. Front desk amd breakfast staff were very helpful and patient. Love the countless on demand tv channels / movies available to watch for free. Shower was so refreshing and clean and the soaps smell amazing. Decent quick continental breakfast. Highly recommend.

Loved it - clean, bright, well layed out. Desk stay were friendly and gracious. Our room was great - the rooms have pergo type floors so they are very clean - no stains or lint that you get from carpets. Also great for travelers with pets - easy clean up if fluffy has a nervous accident. The linens on the bed are bright and fluffy - better than my house. Loved the thermostat on the wall - easy to set room temperature. The bath had a walk in shower with plenty of room. Very, very clean. Loved the dorm size refrigerator too. I think the rooms are sound proof cause you can't hear anything from the hallway. Nice sized TV too. They even had a clock/wireless charger next to the bed. I really loved the continental breakfast offering - waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, cereals, yogurt and pastries. We just fixed a plate and took it back to the room. This is a really good value for what you receive - they have a pool and fitness center too. I think we were very lucky to find this place. Lastly, it was just renovated and reopened a month before - July 2024 I think - so pay no attention to old reviews cause the hotel has been completely redone. It looks great. My pictures are from the day we arrived and we stayed for 4 nights.

Renovated and recently opened Hotel. visited concert in Mohegan sun casino, hotel are costly near casino so moved down and found the hotel and got to know they opened recently. lobby looks very beautiful and welcoming. They have complimentary break fast in the mrng. if i visit the area will definitely stay again
