Best Western Mayport Inn & Suites - Hotel in Atlantic Beach - 2389 Mayport Rd, USA

Everything was clean. The AC worked really well. Great water pressure in the shower and nice and hot. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. I stay in Best Western locations all across the country and was very happy with this location.

I’ll start with the area. We were not familiar with the area at all, just wanted to save a little cash if possible. There is a line you don’t want to cross and this hotel is on the wrong side of that line. The area is incredibly sketchy. Upon walking in the lobby I noticed the furniture was stained and well worn out. I thought it smelt clean, but then noticed there was an air deodorizer on the counter hidden by the wall…. We had no choice but to stay as our 2 nights were not refundable… after checking in we headed down the hall to our room. The carpet was covered in years of stains and dirt. I wanted to vomit. We open our room door and are immediately hit in the face with the smell of mold. Went back up front to request a new room. The attendant was kind and put us in a room on the second floor. It was a bit better but still musty and furniture did not look clean. The beds were hard and not comfortable at all. Neither of us slept the two nights we were there. Spend the extra money and stay a little further down the road closer to Neptune beach if that’s where you want to be. The hotel staff were incredibly polite. None of the above has anything to do with them. The hotel owners/investors need to completely remodel the hotel and rehab the mold issue.

BEWARE: I payed $330 to stay there only one night. And have 2 lil dogs which they charged me $15 a dog. when I tryed checking out the front deck clerk immediately had an attitude when I asked him bout the price he dint offer no refund bc I check out early and check out is @3 dint make no sense. When I checked inn there was McDonald trash bags in the garage they dint clean my room and way over charged me . I would not recommend over price GARBAGE motel.

This is a fairly good hotel. My issue is the lighting in the bathroom. It is too dim. And for someone who wears glasses, it makes it difficult when there isn't adequate lighting. Also, the vending machines need to be refilled more often. The breakfast is good and the rooms are very well-maintained. I do recommend this hotel.

Neat and clean. Good choices for breakfast while breakfast area was very cleaned. Outdoors area was very well kept as someone was sweeping the next morning. Receptionists were very polite too. Will defintely stay here again on our way north.

Literally staring at the largest cockroach I have ever seen on my ceiling, came through a water sprinkler system with hole around it. Aug-6-2024 room 106 stay away. Literally a stain on bathroom that won’t wash away and toilet over flowed for no reason after going #1…. I will tell my command to never book me here again!!!

People at the desk did us a favor to help us. Not a nice feeling. The woman in the breakfast area was very nice and tried to help with everything, including trying to get the front desk to open the bathrooms. The exercise room was a sad and smelly place. NOt attractive at all. The pool was also not accessibe, required walking through the parking lot. Not very nice. No I would not stay here again.

Hotel is on the older side. Only 2 story. Some things could use updating. Would rather not have carpets in the rooms anymore. But overall everything seemed clean. It seemed to be in a safe area. Lots of restaurants and stores around. Breakfast was good, but a little limited. The day we were here they had eggs and hash. They also have a waffle maker, bread & bagels, cereal & yogurt. Enough to get you by but no extras.
