Best Western Inn of McAlester - Hotel in McAlester - 1215 S George Nigh Expy, USA

First impression on the outside was its ok. Not to bad, definitely painted recently. I couldn’t check in early but was able to check in at 2:30pm. First thing I noticed when I walked in the room was the smell. It all came from the bathroom. Wasn’t really a bad smell but it smelled really old and outdated like they covered the smell with chemicals. Not sure if someone previously smoked in here or what but it was not to my liking. This was a suite by the way. I figured this should be the nicest room of all. Stains in the carpet but the room looked fairly clean so I didn’t mind. The issue I had was when I ordered some pizza as soon as I opened the box 4 flies landed directly on my pizza. That kinda annoyed me. Then it was 100 degrees outside and that A/C unit was barely cooling the room. Room didn’t cool down until sunset. Ive traveled all over the country and stayed at numerous hotels this probably was one of my least favorite. it is a small town and options are limited around here. Best thing here is the truck parking in front of the hotel, other than that I wouldn’t pay $100 a night for this. I would rather sleep in my car next time

We’d give less if we could. Room smelled of smoke, cigarette butts all over outside the door. The carpet was sticky. The tub with mold along the edges. Breakfast: eggs & sausage were the only main dishes available. Construction on nearby freeway makes it hazardous to get to motel and surroundings. We’ll NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN !!!! It’s rated a 2 Star motel. But it doesn’t even earn a 1 Star !!!!

Very satisfied with my stay and as someone who travels a lot Best Western hotels are the best for consistency from one location to another regarding cleanliness and quality of the hotel. Cleanliness is my biggest expectation and I was satisfied with Best Western of McAlester. Great breakfast options and a larger than normal eating area so there's plenty of room.

Positive: Room was very clean. The staff was very nice. I would stay here again. Negative: As a personal preference, I hate carpet and the room had stained carpet. The ceiling in the bathroom was too low and also had three stains. Other than that everything was great. Negative: ""

Positive: The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure Negative: I like best western and stay in them often. They aren¿t fancy but are clean and homey. This one is in bad need of a remodel. Negative: ""

The bathroom smelled of mold. I didn't understand why until I saw the bottom of the door. Otherwise the room was okay, the breakfast was good, and the people were nice. Right now there's a lot of traffic because of road construction on Hwy 69.

Did not have the room available that we reserved in advance, 95 degrees out, pool out of service, ac in room very load making it difficult to sleep.

I had to come to McAlester to do some work on their new airport the room is beautiful the room is clean just the way I love it thank you everybody at Best Western for doing your best and keeping this place tip top the breakfast was excellent I was doing my laundry and I had locked myself out I had to go to the front desk and get a key I didn't have my shirt on thank God the lady is so wonderful 👍😊 PS there's a restaurant right beside us so you don't have to go anywhere once you get here you can eat breakfast there or eat breakfast here or eat lunch or eat dinner there and don't have to go anywhere right in the same parking lot
